Key differences between logged out and logged in accounts

Not sure if this is something that anyone outside of admins could answer, but putting it out there. I'll try to explain why I'm asking this shortly, but mainly, aside from no avatars, images or signatures, what else separates an account that is logged out and an account that is logged in as far as forum features and settings go?

To clear up why I ask: for both Firefox and Chrome, http://smarterfox.com has extensions named FastestFox and FastestChrome that, among many things, allow something called "endless pages" so when you're scrolling on a page with numbered links, like a news article split between 5 pages, or a forum thread split between 15 pages, there's no clicking to get to the next; just scrolling.

What I've found that seemed to coincide with the update to the bluegartr.com url is that the endless pages feature now only works for me when logged out. I've tried going to User CP > Edit Options when logged in to reset all the fields and disable images, avatars and signatures, all to no avail. I've checked every option in User CP to see if I could find anything relevant to this without any luck either. I was hoping to find out if there was some key setting that differentiates logged-in and logged-out accounts that could possibly be responsible.

Just as confirmation, as far as I know this feature worked when logged in up until that url update, but that's just what I noticed so any changes a few days before or after in the forum or the extension itself could just as easily be responsible. Not sure if the forum software was also updated, but for the sake of troubleshooting I found 2 other forums using vbulletin 3.8.5 that the endless pages feature worked with, but had no accounts at either of them so I can't say if there's any difference there.

I'm open to submitting a bug report to the extensions author as well, but wanted to start here as it seemed the easiest troubleshooting step to mark off. This is all obviously for convenience and isn't a major issue, but because it's super handy with lengthy threads, I was hoping to find a solution. Thanks for any and all halp.

Oh and tests for sites and logged-in and logged-out were both done with the Firefox and Chrome variants of that extension, just to be sure. Same results.

As far as forums go, Ive admined both vb and php forums, and theyre fairly similiar. You can fully configure anything at all for logged in, logged out, certain users, groups, etc, but as far as fastestfox is concerned, ive no idea.

Given that, it seems plausible the admins might've disabled something intentionally. That hurts deep, though, why must good things also be bad things.

edit: Is it strictly the endless pages feature that causes bandwidth problems, or multiple features? Also, this isn't in reference to "Fasterfox" is it? I can understand if there were a mixup, I recall that extension changing a lot of settings that caused extra load on servers for the sake of speedier somethingsomething on the user's end.
