Thread: Wrestler Chris Benoit and family found dead in their home    

Ok, I dunno if it was a joke or something, but when I was refreshing the wiki, it said that this was another ploy to attract attention to the WWE after the failed Vince car-bombing, then I refreshed again and it was changed back, so I really don't know the deal. If this is true.. this is really upsetting and horrible. He was a great wrestler.

They (WWE & ECW) were scheduled to perform tonight at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi tonight, the event was cancelled and full refunds given to all paying customers. My wifes side of the family lives in CC and my brother in law was supposed to be going to the show.

Not sure if it is a hoax or not but he just got a full refund and asked to leave the arena. I too wonder what happened, I hate hearing of such things.

In before people whining that the media only cares because he's famous.

edit: i wonder if this was just a random murder spree, or if someone actually targeted him and his family specificaly

The second link said that his wife and son were both throwing up blood, and he had to go home to take care of them. I guess the best question is why didn't they go immediately to the fucking ER if that is true? Wow. Maybe it's just my overactive imagination, but that sounds like some Outbreak-level shit to me.

I'm fucking pissed. First Eddie, now Chris. God damn it, now I cry my eyes out in front of Raw.

I'm really freakin' glad they IMMEDIATELY dropped the 'McMahon dead' roleplay, it was immensely tasteless.

Upon hearing his announcement the BF guessed murder and I guessed carbon monoxide poisoning.. though other than the second link above I haven't seen anything to coaborate the 'throwing up blood' line.

Yeah, before I read the second link I assumed carbon monoxide poisoning too. Reminds me of Weird Al Yankovic's parents a couple of years ago.

These are my guesses:

1. Carbon monoxide poisoning
2. Murder-suicide, though not sure who would have done the murdering
3. Fast-working deadly illness
4. Freak accident

Yeah.. and since no one heard from him the next day. I dunno.. this is all just so strange. I'm hit by it, he was a great wrestler..
