Did you see this fall last night. Damn. I find it very hard to believe that this guy didn't break anything or have any internal injuries!

I missed the skateboarding, but I caught the motorcycle best trick. I thought it was really cool that they brought a guy off youtube who nailed a double back flip to try to nail it on the biggest stage. it sucks he wrecked, but he was the only guy to even try to attempt it, and that takes a lofty set of balls. I was disappointed his blew his bike up and couldnt attempt it again. i hope they bring that dude back.
I seen the skateboard fall on SC clips, and man, I'd be lying if I said i didn't laugh my ass off when he hit so hard that his shoes flew off.
Watched it live last night and had to rewind the DVR to see what it was that flew off. Wow, just wow. I was surfing the net today to see if he had broken anything, I just can't see how he didn't!
Luck? He should have probably broken a couple ribs, minimum. :x
It's too bad the guy didn't nail the double backflip. He was really close too, just couldn't quite get his front tire down. :\
My ls was doing Divine Might and some guys like afk, some dude just got owned at the Xgames, then he came back and told us what happened, lol
It's weird but shoes fly off very often in any major fall crash or accident. Happens alot in motorcycle crashes. Still amazing he survived that at all, let alone walked away.Originally Posted by Tyche
too bad that they're not broadcasting it in full HD, but that fall was extremely gruesome when i saw it live. I can't wait for the rally events!
Fuck me. That's probably the nastiest fall I've ever seen, it's just the way he hangs up in the air before finally slamming. The slo-mo doesn't help either since you see him land on his arse then slam his back and head. Good thing he had a Helmet on.
Still. That's probably the Nicest 720 I've ever seen. And once I realised those were his shoes flying into the crowd and not his helmet splitting in two I was laughing my arse off.
i give the dude props, he had god mode turned on during that time. Its like you see shit like this in anime where people survive ridiculous falls, but this guy just made ridiculous fall survival a reality.
Wow, amazing.
Holy shit.. I never in my life thought they would bring a Mega Ramp competition into X-Games, you can thank Danny Way for that.
That was amazing though, glad to see he was ok. He landed that shit too, man that was just epic.
Didn't they introduce it last year?Originally Posted by Larsa
I don't keep up with X-Games, but Danny Way introduced the Mega Ramp in his DC video part back in 2004. It started to get everyone hyped up to do huge shit like that because they saw the speed and air advantages... and most likely the epicness of it all. Check out his part, the Mega Ramp shit is at the end.

Yeah, I've seen that before. just saying I think it was introduced to xgames last year or the year before, i remember them making a big deal about it because of how quickly it was introduced, and how it was taking the sport even further ahead.
Usually they manage to take some of the edge off a fall by either hitting the curve of the ramp or the lip, but yeouch, I don't think i've ever seen one lose it all the way to the bottom of the ramp. And that's why you wear protective gear, kiddies.
Its like nascar, not good untill theres a crash.
Nope, gotta disagree, I don't watch Xgames for falls or crashes. I rather see someone land a double back flip than eat it. Maybe because i've been skateboading snowboading and MXing my whole life, seeing them do some of the shit they do is incredible/inspiring/whatever you wanna call it, just awesome. Awesome to the Max.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX
I watch nascar, if ever, for the crashes. Indy too.
I'd rather see someone try a Double Backflip, eat it, get up and try again.Originally Posted by Boyiee
One of the reasons my friends and I stopped watching compettitions like these are because you get used to the Pro-Videos where they go all out with crativity or tech (Cheese and Crackers video anyone?) but when it comes to comps they all play it safe and you hardly see anything you were expecting. Although it does make for pretty good times when a long established pro gets beaten by a kid because the kid went all out since he had nothing to lose.
I mean, I get they go for consistency, and tech tricks are iffy at the best of times, but I can only stand to see Bucky Lasek do so many McTwists per run y'know?
Saw on ESPN last night that Jake Brown (guy in vid) had a bruised lung and bruised liver. Still in the hospital but was trying to get out and might be at xgames saturday or sunday watching.
OH man I was so happy to see that Chris Cole had won finals, dude is amazing.
