Has anyone gotten one of these before as a reward from the Uninvited Guests quest? I heard there was a trick to getting it but I haven't gotten any details.

There isn't really a trick other than making your inventory full before talking to Justinius and you can see what he was going to give you.

Only problem is that you can't control what will be the next item. Also once he offers you an EXP paper, it won't change to a different item. So you can force getting an EXP paper, which is better than some crappy item (like a lame food item).

It's pretty good for PLD/NIN resist builds for tanking anything like tiamat, Bahamut v2, ect. Not really useless.

afaik you can only get this as a reward for beating it with a larger group, I can't confirm or deny it but I did this countless times and the rewards seem overall better if you complete it with more people.

But yeah, if you fill your invo you'll see the item then it'll say you can't recieve it. Unfortunatly, if you see something you want there other than the XP paper, the next time you talk to him you'll get something else.

Its got 65 def too, same as koenig cuirass.

Anyways, I'm talkin to my friend and he said he zoned evey time he got a reward that wasnt the breastplate and it changed. For some reason I've done this like eight hours, full inven and zoned everytime and only gotten exp scrolls lol. I have shit luck ><

Once you get an xp scroll you're locked into that no matter what you do. Gotta wait til next week once you see that. It's basically luck getting Justinus to give it to you before he offers up an XP scroll.

Exp scroll was the first thing he offered me, when my friend did it, it wasnt the first thing he offered him, but before he got his breastplate there were scrolls in the mix of rewards. So I'm guessing ur locked on the sroll only if its the first thing he offers?

Nope, you're locked into it regardless of when he offers it. How long ago did you friend get his BP? I think the trick about zoning to reset his list was patched months ago, before I started doing the ENM consistantly so I can't be sure if it was possible or not. I'm positive though that currently, once you get offered an XP scroll there's nothing you can do to change it.

JP on Odin got this a few months ago. I asked him how he got it and he said 18 [member] [dropped item]. So I'm guessing, wiht 18 people it has a high chance of this item dropping.

Two people in my LS duo this every week and I believe this was one of their drops, so I don't think this theory holds water.

You might want to verify that information.

By the way, I tried the full inventory/zoning trick and once I was offered XP I was stuck with just that no matter what I did. I did this BC practically every week since it came out and got every single drop on somepage but the breastplate multiple times. The people that I know got breastplates and behemoth hides got them with 18 people.

I'll ask them when my internet gets back up at home. If they duo it every week I don't see why all of a sudden they would want to try it with more people unless it is known that better drops exist if you fight with more people.

I know alot of people that duo this just for exp scrolls and such, I bet its only 18 man considering how rare this item is vs how many people duo it.

I originally got it for resist builds but sold it a while ago for a bit of profit due to the fact that my LS doesnt do enough wyrms to justify a 25mil peice of armor sitting in inventory. As for where i got it: dropped off the Bazaar NM in Rolanberry.
