Holy shit, lol. They showed a bit of the PS3 release in japan on the news, but mainly just people waiting patiently in line for theirs (while playing theri ds's, I laughed so hard at that, it was exactly like that VG cats) But holy christ

well nowadays there is always this hype on camping and selling newly launched stuff on eBay....the power of the internet!

Interesting read I feel sorry for the old people. But they shouldn't be blaming Sony for the problems with the crowd. IMO it should have been the stores selling the systems to get the blame for not having enough police/security present to keep the line safe and organized especially when something this big is released. Hopefully they will learn their lesson for when the Wii is released.

believe it or not, i was having ideas of making someone stand in line and fight for you and get you your ps3 for a price... it never crossed my mind that it would happen for real..

actually sony is still getting money. Each console sold gives them money. They, Sony, doesnt care about what you do with it as long they get their console to sell.

FYI, only Nintendo doesn't sell consoles at a loss, M$ and Sony do, Xbox, 360, PSP, PS3 all sell at loss. K thanks.
