The one thing I know is that this game makes you feel significantly more badass then any game in the series.

Also, I want Kessen IV god fucking dammit
So can anyone chime in on 360 (PS3 too I spose) being laggy/not laggy in offline co-op or not? Browsing forums and surfing google looking for an answer and for every "no its not" someone says "it does" lol. Ready to get this game if it's actually something I can play with another human (in person). I heard online is pretty laggy, but don't care much about that personally.
I barely played it, but I didnt see a noticeable drop in the framerate
also the Shu campaign makes you feel terrible.
Thanks for the input, did you play on PS3 or 360? Having a hard time deciding which to get atm.
Thanks, but I guess it is irrelevant. I hadn't been following the info very closely and saw where people said it had offline co-op and assumed all was normal (ala DW5/SW2 style co-op), but am seeing co-op was axed from story mode so that makes it a whole lotta worthless to me and the wife. >_< Usually we would each pick characters and rotate out playing story mode. Like I'd be Sun Jian and she'd play Li Xun while I'm playing Sun Jian so that when I'm done with his story we can start Li Xun's and he wouldn't be lv1 weak (and I'd pick a new character, and on and on). Missing that really makes it worthless for us sadly. Damn, was really hyped for some new warriors too. Guess I'll just have to keep playing SW3 .
Conquest mode is kind of a story mode in itself. It's a pretty massive part of the game at least, just light on... actual story. And I watched someone streaming most of Conquest in co-op Tobi. Looked good, there was some desync but absolutely no real lag so even without a solid connection between players it'd be fine to play, since it seems to track everything client side to avoid issues. Also had drop-in/out without any loading screens or anything, the only issue was the fact you can't enter towns during online play so you have to drop out and back in again when you want to do stuff there.
Edit: Same guy is streaming conquest online again right now actually:

I've seen the story about five thousand times so IDC about that. I just hate having to break up 2 player and have one of us go play single player in the story to unlock everything (or can you unlock everything in conquest?). Thanks for the responses btw very much appreciated. I want some DW bad, but having a hard time talking myself into it if we can't play much together.
Was thinking about getting this for the PS3, personally.
Each story mode for the Three(Four)Kingdoms is about 7-8 hours long.
Goes alot more in depth with history then any of the previous games did.
Just got my shit now finally, trying to figure out if I should roll with Shu or Wu first... either way, can't wait to finally play this shit
anyone know a good guide for the game yet?
you can unlock everything in conquest mode pretty much. just play that for your co-op. also most people who were having frame rate drops were people who were trying to force 1080p. ive had no framerate issues at all, ps3
Damn, I'm rusty as hell, haven't played a DW game in ages... Loving this one a lot so far, already a ton of fun. I'll probably be trying out online later today, so looking forward to trying that out.
So just so everyone is aware, if you're like me when you play the story and you want the weapons it shows everyone holding in cinematics you need to unlock the smithing skill with Zhuge Liang, (there's at least one person per faction that has the skill but I have no idea who the others are, most likely the strategists) and then you need to unlock all cities in conquest mode, and you can buy them after buying all other weapons in that category.
Though in some cases, the legendary weapons have higher base damage.
And Lu Bu's musou is sex. Dude goes Ka-me-ha-me-ha on people. lol
