Since I don't fail at life, I'm going to a Halloween party with my roommates and a bunch of friends. The problem is, I don't know what the fuck to wear as a costume. I'm overweight for sure, but I'm not a hopeless lard-ass. To give you an idea, I usually wear men's large T-Shirts (since women's shirts never have any designs I'd feel like wearing). Still, I won't wear anything skimpy, both to avoid scarring people and because I do have a sense of self-respect.

So, I need some costume ideas, and it has to be something I can easily buy/put together over the next three days. Other than a sheet with holes in it or a brown paper bag, what the fuck can I wear? There's costume concepts out there for overweight guys, but for chicks there's practically none.

If I can't find anything I'll just be going in normal clothes.

My girlfriend is probably around your size based on your description, and her Halloween costume is quite flattering -- she's going as the Wife of Bath from the Canterbury Tales. Red dress, large red hat, and red stockings. To aid the costume, she's carrying around a hollowed-out book containing a flask of vodka. It's probably too obscure for most people to get, but Chaucer is her favorite author and the Wife of Bath is her favorite literary character, so she's extremely excited to do it.

My costume is fairly unisex -- I'm going as a Tea Party protester. I described the costume in the Halloween thread in General:

And I'm going to wear a pair of old jeans with holes and paint on them, some ratty sneakers, carry around a picket sign, and be a Tea Party protester. Thinking about getting a mullet wig too. If I had some more time, I'd go and find a PALIN 2012 button to wear as well....One of them has to be "LIBERALS ARE NAZIS" in honor of Glen Urquhart.

It might be too late to order the same shirt as me if you take my idea, but be creative -- you'll probably come up with something much better than what I have planned.
