Notice she runs up the vehicle and tries to shove the sign in his face, in the car? Yea, they seem to have left that part out of the originial story. Such bullshit.

all the news sources I read made it pretty clear that she was there to harass Rand Paul. they may not have shown that part of the video, but everything I read made her part in the incident clear.

edit: though now that I'm watching the faux news report, I see their point... she wasn't very clear on how far she had gone to prove her point. but obviously, shoving a sign into someone's car is still not justification for assault.

What a load of shit, as expected from Fux Gnus. She ran up to the car and flashed her sign, and it was knocked into the car as a result of the scuffle.

And still, NOTHING AT ALL justifies the kind of retaliation she received. At most she should have been escorted, upright and walking, from the site of the debate.

I don't see her pushing the sign into the car. It looks like she has the sign turned around so she didn't draw attention to it, as she ran up to the car turned the sign around forcing him to read it. Even if she was, thats a still no reason for what they did. I understand the guy in the suite running between her and the car encase her intentions were different, but anything after that is retarded.

Well, the biggest problem I see in all of this, and how it could have been avoided... WTF was she doing out of the kitchen? She obviously knew she would get her ass kicked, since she showed up in a wig to conceal her identity. Next time make you better make that sammich!

She wasn't trying to conceal her identity, she was in costume for a satirical peice shes writing. The sign she's holding is from a fictitious company. She had been in Kentucky, in costume, all week working on the peice. Think Onion with a political agenda.

LEXINGTON. (AP) - The central Kentucky man who was videotaped stepping on a woman outside a U.S. Senate debate has been charged with misdemeanor assault.

Tim Profitt and other supporters of Republican Rand Paul were filmed restraining a woman attempting to give the candidate a mock award. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Profitt will go before a district judge in Lexington on Nov. 18 on a fourth-degree assault charge.

A criminal summons says Profitt "intentionally placed his foot on the shoulder/head region on the victim."

The Paul campaign dropped the 53-year-old Profitt as a coordinator in Bourbon County after the incident.

Paul's opponent, Democrat Jack Conway, has used the incident to criticize Paul and state Democrats used the footage in a TV ad.

Actually Bonnie, It's apparent you know nothing about what happened at the debate that night. I was there and saw everything unfold. This 'tiny' 'woman' you speak of broke through the barriers and began running aggressively toward the political candidates. The brave supporters of Paul saw this attack unfolding and subdued the 185 lbs woman until the police were able to arrest her. This woman and her act of terror left everyone at the debate in fear for their lives for the rest of the evening. Also, it was found out that this woman is a payed employ of MoveOn, and had been planning this attack for months. I'm glad I had the opportunity to enlighten you Bonnie, I'd hate for the misinformation you are spreading to continue. Thanks, and have a nice day!
