So, can he reject a waiver-wire claim or no? Now that he's not on a team he can control his destiny a bit right? Only sign with someone who gives him a real multi-year contract? Or is he stuck on his last year of the Pats contract and has to report to whoever picks him up?

I think since he has a long service record he becomes a free agent now, not a waiver wire claim. So yeah, he can pick and choose where he wants to go.
