Apparently Romo and Austin are bad choices in fantasy. I drafted Buehler as a joke. I have just as many eagles on my team tbh.
Oh I forgot witten, I picked him because he was the only good TE left.
and then, post colts win, tommygunz waltzes back in here and claims more football prowess
fuck yes chicago can't disappoint me again this week
of course, they can't win either, so it's sort of disappointing already
maybe someone will shove a boot up martz's ass and he miraculously starts running the ball more next week
So my boss, who's a Cowboys/Yankees fan, emailed us today to say that tomorrow is a casual/costume day for Halloween. However, we can't wear Eagles/Phillies gear because "only winners' jerseys are allowed."![]()
I can see why he's the boss, he knows what's up
Kyle Orton vs Troy Smith. Oh man, London is going to implode from fucking awesomeness. Those are 2 of my top 5 for lead pipe locks for best QBs in football right there. Shit going to be fucking epic.
Quite a few trap games this week, and given that the Saints lost to a trap team and the Ravens almost dropped it as well, you'd think the top teams would show a little more focus this week. Obviously the level in the NFL isn't as wide as it was in previous years.
That being said, I hope the Skins remember that humiliating loss last year to the Lions; the one that really kick started their descent into hilarity. I hope their faces are burning while they study film this week, and that the come out and perform for once. I'm getting sick of losing hair every week watching these nail-biters.
Oh to be a Pittsburg fan.... oh wait.
Last Week: 8-6
Season: 55-49
Washington at Detroit
Jacksonville at Dallas
Miami at Cincinnati
Buffalo at Kansas City
Carolina at St. Louis
Denver at San Francisco
Green Bay at NY Jets
Tennessee at San Diego
Tampa Bay at Arizona
Minnesota at New England
Seattle at Oakland
Pittsburgh at New Orleans
Houston at Indianapolis
My solution for this Cowboys game: cheer for MJD since he's on my fantasy team.
They made jakobs look like chris johnson, I don't think any cheering will be necessary.
For those that want to hear that little scream.

I was on the cusp of creeping to .500 ATS, and Tony fucking Romo goes down. Time to jump on the Kitna bandwagon I guess, right Stonehands?
Record:
49-39 straight
42-44-2 ATS
SUN, OCT 31
Washington at Detroit (-2.5) - Initially I was somewhat surprised by the line. This is the classic knee-jerk reaction of "why is this terrible team favored?" But Detroit is coming off a bye, at home, and getting Stafford back. Both these teams seem to play to the level of their competition, and the 'Skins defense gives up over 400 yards per game. I'll hedge my bets and say Detroit wins, 'Skins cover.
Jacksonville at Dallas (-6.5) - I will never put actual money on Dallas covering a spread ever again. I thought parlaying 'Boys -3 and the over was like stealing, especially when Dez took that punt return to the house. Then... ugh. Luckily for Dallas, Jacksonville is the perfect team to get healthy on, and despite the whole world knowing that both teams will run the fuck out of the ball, Dallas will be able to stop it more effectively than the Jags. Get ready for lots of three yards in a cloud of billion-dollar stadium dust. Dallas wins, Jacksonville covers.
Miami at Cincinnati (-2) - Miami just beat Pittsburgh for all intents and purposes, who is much better than Cincy. I really think the 'Fins rally past their hosejob and start a nice little run into the wild card contention. The Bungles just happen to be in the way this week. But not really. Miami wins convincingly in the upset.
Buffalo at Kansas City (-8) - I feel whoever I pick against in this game would take it as disrespect. Buffalo's almost beaten two of the best teams in the league, but it doesn't take an Ivy League QB to tell you that almost doesn't count. Meanwhile, KC looked like a hungry team in their thrashing of the Jags after back-to-back road losses. Still, that line looks a little big to me. I'll take Chiefs to win, Bills to cover.
Carolina at St. Louis (-3) - All year I've been saying the Rams are a good team at home, and I'm sticking with it. The Cats, on the shoulders of MATT FUCKING MOORE, scored ten points in two minutes to add a couple thousand more hits to firemikesingletary dot com. But what's troubling for Carolina is the ground game is still not producing. I don't think they can win this game with Moore throwing 40+ times again. Rams win and cover.
Denver at San Francisco (-1) - Last week the Broncos must have been reading their London visitor's guides instead of their playbooks, because there's nothing worse than getting curb-stomped by Jason Campbell and the Goddamned Raiders. Meanwhile, we get to have a Troy Smith sighting for the '9ers. If he gets hurt, do they sign Akili Smith? All I want from this game is a Singletary press conference rant in a British dialect. Broncos get the win.
Green Bay at NY Jets (-6) - Even though Revis has played more like an island fish this year, they are one of the top scoring defenses in the league. Normally a bye week is good for a team, and yes Revis might have benefitted from the time off, but the Jets had won five straight and seemed to be on a roll. Have they already assumed they're winning the Super Bowl division? Will they get up for a hobbled Green Bay team? The Pack have been decidedly average and only really flexed their muscles against Buffalo. This one won't be close. Jets win and cover.
Tennessee at San Diego (-3.5) - Once again, the Bolts favored at home against a superior team. I bet against them last week and it worked, and I'm going to do the same thing again this week. Don't look now but Tennessee has scored 30 points in three straight weeks, all wins. Kerry Collins hasn't been great but their defense has. Titans win in the upset.
Tampa Bay at Arizona (-3) - You gotta hand it to both these teams, they're fighting for playoff spots despite being outscored by a combined 92 points and it's not even November yet. The Cards are at home where local boy Max Hall will get his first NFL touchdown, and I like their coaching staff to sneak out of this week with a W. Arizona wins, Tampa covers.
Minnesota at New England (-6.5) - Brady and co. haven't exactly lit up the scoreboard, and their defense is in the bottom half of points and yards per game allowed, but they're 5-1 and keeping pace with the Jets. Belichick just knows how to get it done, pure and simple, going for it on 4th down be damned. What's the deal with Minny? I thought their win in the Meh Bowl over the 'Boys and reacquiring Moss was supposed to propel them to the playoffs, and they trip up in Lambeau last week. Whether it's Farve or Jackson for the Vikes, I think the Pats defense gets healthy in this one. New England wins and covers.
Seattle at Oakland (-2.5) - Oakland is now the fifth best scoring offense in the league. No, really. With Gradkowski still out, the Raiders better hope for a lot more of the same from McFadden and the defense. Unfortunately for them, Seattle is giving up under 80 yard per game on the ground. The 'Hawks have beaten some good teams at home, and lost to some bad ones on the road. Once again I'll hedge and say Oakland wins, Seattle covers.
Pittsburgh at New Orleans (-1) - I don't care if Reggie Bush, Michael Bush, Billy Bush or Jenna Bush plays for New Orleans. Pittsburgh's defense is going to prey upon the Saints. Period. This won't be close, and with the press out of "What's wrong in Dallas?!?!?!" stories, the focus will fall on the defending champs. Steelers in the upset.
MON, NOV 1
Houston at Indianapolis (-5.5) - How the mighty have fallen. This could describe both teams, I guess. After the Texans week one win, two disappointing losses to NFC Least teams mar an otherwise good season so far. For Indy, a troubling loss to Jacksonville and losing Clark for the season cast some doubt on their legitimacy as a Super Bowl contender. Also, both teams are coming off a bye. I'm thinking this should be a shootout, with the Colts edging Houston this time. Texans to cover.
Mmmm, Carson Palmer on the injury report. Dem hips.
