"I would walk 500 malms" Rank 20 Leve.
Completed with a rating of only 19, got 266 Leatherworking Marks. I just noticed when I get marks I dont get cash for the leve turn in, never noticed it before.
I updated the spreadsheet and put some graphs and junk in. Still learning how to use PivotTables effectively, but I hope to be able to put in individual colored lines for each rank. Like separate it out by r20 leves, r25 leves, etc. Since as the rank goes up it's almost certain to affect the reward, it's a little bad mixing all that in together.

Only one level 20+ guildmark done in Gridania again
Planks Aplenty
Performance 37
323 carpenters guildmarks
It wasnt 100% complete, I failed one or two synths out of the bunch.
I guess the very least they can do is if they only give me one 20+ leve that it's at least a good leve...
Edit: Finally did Uldah got only 1 rank 20 of course
Act of Pure Weevil
Performance 38
Reward 2980 gil
Edit: LL leves only 1 rank 20 again -.-
Training and the Trees
Rating 39
Reward 2946
im weaver 16 e i have 1.166 marks and no craft over 20 yet (GLD is 19).
I didnt notice until yesterday, so i have no ideia how and when i got it.
You don't need to have a crafting class at 20+ to complete Rank-20 local leves and randomly receive guild marks instead of gil for them.
Another reset another round of leves
LL
Carpentry
Training and Trees
Performance rating 22 (4/6 synths completed iirc)
561 guild marks
Alchemy
Starveling Soldiers
Performance rating 18 (4/6 again)
2879 gil
Unless you remember what rank these were (20 or 25), I'm gonna have to ignore all of these
If you could use the format suggested in the OP it would be helpful. But I do appreciate the contributions, do keep them coming.
On another note, once I get about 120ish entries in the spreadsheet I'll make some "probability" charts. Still haven't decided the best way to do this. I'm thinking maybe group the performance rating (x-axis) into intervals of 10. Like 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, etc. And for each group, have the y-axis value be # of mark rewards / (# of mark rewards + # of gil rewards) for that particular range.
My results are starting to get pretty strange. I added a new chart which shows a bar graph for every player whose submitted data, and their Mark%. Mine is 33% out of like 27 submissions. Which is pretty damn high TBH. But the overall rate is about 15% among all people who have submitted data. Can't really find anything else unusual about the data though.
Haven't uploaded the spreadsheet showing this yet, but will come later tonight probably, or tomorrow.
Edit: Also, one thing that I find very unusual so far is that there is not a single occurence on the sheet yet of receiving marks for a r25 leve. And there's close to 20 r25 leves recorded. It would be pretty interesting if marks only come from leves whose rank is a multiple of 10. There's still no reason to think it's anything other than just bad luck so far, but something to keep an eye on anyway.
Perhaps a differing probability according to % of successful synths?
Updated the link with a new spreadsheet. When you open it up now you should see a couple new charts on the front page. The probability chart is still really inaccurate, and will probably remain so for at least 100-200 more datapoints. I do, however, like that you can start a trend emerging regarding reward vs performance. Obviously this is expected, but it's nice to see it validated.
One thing I find fairly interesting is the sharp jump in reward almost exactly at a performance rating of 25. And it happens for all 3 ranks - 20, 25, and 30 for where there is sufficient data so far. This could be the first sign of a useful pattern emerging, but obviously we'll have to see.
Also just want to remind everyone that I'm still requesting as much data as possibleI know it's easy to get lazy and forget to record it all, but assuming people are even still playing FFXIV, I'd love to have more records

Realized that not everyone has MS Excel, so I'm gonna start posting an image of the graph screen on the front page of this thread. Updated again.
You know, I had been keeping pretty good track of my Guild Mark reward (namely the lack thereof) and my total is about 1200 or so higher than I remember. I'm wondering if the "I got marks and I don't know how I got them" could have some merit.
Sweet topic. Adding to list of of researchable topics.
But, aren't you the one that has an absurd rate of mark rewards vs gil in the first place? I was like 1/30, and probably somewhere around 5/50 now... which puts me a bit over 1000 less than what I have now. I most certainly could have fucked up, but from now on, I'm checking my marks before and after I get gil'd.
