I'm one of those douchebag FF purists who thinks 6 was as good as it gets, with no real explanation about WHY it's better, it just IS, in my opinion ofc. 7 was very good, too. 8's card game was more fun than the actual game. 9 seemed like it was clinging to SNES magic in a desperate way. 10 wasn't bad, but had some moments where I was forcing myself to play it. 12 was pretty fun as a game, too many people spent too much time analyzing how "different" it was rather than actually playing it. Let's not talk about 13.

the only FF games I'm hyped about anymore is dissidia anyway. loved the first, can't wait for the second and hope they don't fuck it up.

All I can say about Grandia is that Grandia 1 just isn't for me.
I didn't think it was a bad game, just couldn't get into it at all. Justin is a gigantic faggot and I didn't want to play as him. I can't remember how far I got but it wasn't very far... I remember going to what looked like some kind of digging site and the kid met some diety or had a vision or some shit (memory's foggy) and I dunno, it just didn't do it for me.

Grandia 3's story is somehow WORSE than Xtreme, but both have really nice battle systems. Grandia 2 is one of those 1/20 old games I can still play and enjoy today.

Well BoF: DQ is up there in terms of lack of story. It has some but when playing it, you get the feel that the story is there just to pace the game and really doesn't fucking matter

I'm replaying Legend Of Dragoon for the first time in about 10 years...and I'm beginning to notice that I had a lot more tolerance and patience for gaming back then. The exp rate in this fucker is so ungodly slow...like, slower than Nocturne slow.
