Lots of people who haven't even played it know it comes from the DeJap ToP trans, not to mention ToP is probably one of the more played translated JRPGs on the SNES so... eh.

SNES emulators used to be so horrible. It took so long for someone to put out a semi-decently working SO1 rom.

And when I finally played it I was disappointed at how much worse than SO2 it was, because sequel expectations don't exactly work backwards.

SO2 isn't particularly good either. Unless the original PSX version is somehow a dozen times better than the PSP remake at least.
