    Graphical Glitches occasionally

I am using Asus G73JH with ATI Mobility HD 5870 to play XIV.

Occasionally whenever I am in combat and do something like attack, my graphics momentarily glitch on my character. I can't describe it but something like a circle appears on my character or the enemy character.

I'd produce a screenshot but it is very hard to capture as the glitch only remains for a fraction of a second before going back to normal.

Is this a known issue with ATI cards for XIV or am I experiencing it only?

Is it often/always? Could be a hint at graphic card overheating or a simple corrupted file / case of loldrivers

frequently yes, though the laptop has been having issues with its VBios and the drivers ATI provided. Had to manually find an overclocking guide for the graphics card for this mobo specifically just to get the game to run stable enough.

Oddly enough it only happens during battles and never during cutscenes/running through town etc

I'm having similar issues with my Nvidia GTX460. Everytime some flashy animation happens, like during synthing and casting spells etc. these weird, dark, shadow-like objects appear for like one quarter of a second. I don't know why, but they do not appear if I put AA off from the config, but it's stupid since I'd like to play the game with the best settings I can run, but those graphical glitches in question are really annoying, even though they don't stay on the screen that long.
