When I, my brother, and sister were mucking about on the server, my activity monitor was reporting 960mb RAM used. Seems to go up 200mb or so per person. That or the current lighting-bug may be the reason why ram usage slowly climbed over time. I saw the odd pitch-black block here and there that shifted back to a proper light-source when I mucked with the tiles involved.
My PC definitely would have been churning away at swap space if I tried to run both it and the client on it. Need to upgrade that thing to 4gb ram some day. Overall I was surprised how stable the server code was, aside from aforementioned bugs/not-fully-implemented features. Not a single crash, nor did CPU usage rise above 10% for the most part.
Anyone know how Cartograph prefers its directories noted for the custom map option? I tried X:/Folder/Folder/Folder/MinecraftServer/world (Windows app, so I mapped a network drive to the mac) and it just sat there doing nothing but freezing itself up. Readme doesn't provide an example for some reason.
Is that Wily's Fortress? >.>
aww i don't see where I am
All of the red in the bottom part of the map is forest fire. -_-
worked a ton on the Sono Industries building today, also got the edges made prettyfied, working on the stairs to each level then Ill fill in the floors
I was looking at that to Motsy, I'm going to go investigate some time. It seems to be West of my Secret project ._.;
Someone should go on a journey with me to put out the fires in the south, that's probably what makes the server lag so horribly.
Someone build a firehouse stocked with axes and buckets of water
what if the firehouse catches fire
Just finished clearing two of the forest fires and working my way northwest.
Is there not a way to just block whatever is used in creating fires?
Who wants to make the ducky? Or maybe the space shuttle I've got going in the background?
I can explain how to view the blueprints. The ducky would obviously go into the ocean, while the shuttle could be on a beach with lava under it's tanks >.> Anyone have any other ideas for possible models, I've got this process fairly streamlined now...
edit: Updated to include screenshot of space shuttle blueprints.
if I wasn't so engrossed with my own project I would be all over that duck
Care to share your process Magus? I got a couple ideas kicking around that I'd want to do (ex. video game controllers), but fuck busting out the grid paper.
