I am almost sure it is an old EXE problem. Also happened to me when 1.9 came out. Try redownloading the .EXE as suggested and I bet you are good to go.

How are the maps in the game btw? I never got around to making one before, they worth bothering with?

Maps are decent for the local area around your spawn. Especially if your home isn't necessarily close to initial spawn, the map will be nice for getting home once you're close enough to appear on the map. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think he ever completed them to the degree he was first mentioning, like setting the zoom level, hanging them on walls, or duplicating and sharing them.

More item enchanting. It looks like it costs EXP to enchant items... and you'll have to trial and error to decipher what the spells say and do... or look it up. (I hear it's from another game? Dragon Age?)

There's still people stealing around, probably flying and using somethig to see through walls... someone mined a hole right to my chests and stole redstone stuff and some gunpowder (lucky me I didn't have diamonds nor iron or that would most likely be gone too). This happened within the last 8 hours.

There's also apparently two bulgarians around (Knight_Verog and nikdeivid1234) that don't seem to know much English. I haven't seen them, not sure what they're up to, but I'm just suspicious of bulgarians who stick around even when they are told this is not a bulgarian server (the only person who burnt my blimp was one of those).

And does anyone know who is that Chico84 guy?

About mods... I don't have much of a clue about those, but doesn't bukkit work on 1.8.1? Won't most of the plugins made for that work if that's the case?

When I was playing an hour ago, Knight_Verog, nikdeivid1234, and Chico84 were repeatedly on and off, killing eachother, and dying left and right... none of which responded to me. I can't wait until some fuckers find my home and burn it to the ground... :/

I think part of the problem is that we have PvP set to on, so people think its ok to be asshats <_<;

make sure you have 64bit java installed and put your minecraft.exe in the root of your c drive

this fixes the memory errors for people
