Official BG Minecraft Server Thread

I have to apologize. Some guy built his little cliff side home RIGHT next to my base, and erected an unattractive monster spawner in the middle of the sunset view from my tower. I torched and burned his place. I graciously accept any ban necessary. In my defense, we're surrounded by nothing and he really did build a 'temporary home' about 10 blocks from my walls on one side, and his actual base about 20 blocks away on the other side.

Also in my defense, my car had broken down that day and I was drunk.

Man, I haven't been on in a little over a week and theres a ton of new structures on the new map. Whats with the disjoint sections of map (and theres shit built there? some kinda admit teleport?) in the south and people mapping huge lines in the west/northwest? Doesn't that hinder the server or at the very least make generating maps that much more painful?

/4359/64/-845 is mine and Flip's place, we just have a portal system set up to get to/from

Supposedly no map reset , and map goes down while I import old structures in once the update is out. That has been the plan for a while.

I can understand the mob spawner and the temp house but my main place? Seriously?

I play on a server because I like to see what others build. I was angry because they're is an unspoken rule that you don't build right next to someone (not at least without asking). And I'm not talking about within sight, you built RIGHT next to me with your temporary house. It was your temporary house that set me off. The mob spawner escalated it. The main house was just collateral. It just seemed rude. I also asked the people online and they said they hadn't seen you before.

Seeing as how you've been on BG for awhile, and not some random dick, I'm willing to gather wood and cobble to compensate for what I destroyed.

It's a legitimate concern. Some people (myself certainly) tend to have very large building plans and just working at something for a month to have someone run over and plop down whatever in the area is problematic.

Hey Chrian, I don't know if you even still have it written down where I wanted my castle, but forget it for now. I'm not sure where everyone elses stuff is gonna be or if anyone has built something there now, so somewhere farther away from people is fine as I'll have lots of expanding to do.
