Is there not a functioning mod yet that let's you claim X amount of given chunks for protection purposes?

There is a mod like that I encountered on a PVP server once. You were able to set up a faction and claim 10 16x16 chunks of land. For ever person who joined your faction you were rewarded an additional 10. only people in the faction could open doors/chests/build/destroy/do anything on that claimed land

yeah, server goes down a couple hours every night around that time for map update.

And my Psidergrinder MK III exp farm is up for buisness if anyone wants to use it. Entrance is currently a hole in the ground at 1337, -175, which takes you directly to the spawn pad. <_<; you'll probably need to fly to get down safely and back up. I need to work on an actual entrance heh. bring lots of food, a sword of some type, and don't get too close to the spiders or they'll poison you lol. Just repeatedly swipe at the crack between the glass panes, and you can one shot almost all of them with your bare hand- use the sword to get rid of the few stragglers that survive the drop off without taking damage due to server lag after you clear the majority of the spiders out. You can either kill them as they come, or afk for like 15-20 minutes to let them build up and take them all out at once. You can hit level 25 in about 20 minutes, level 33 (for silk touch!) in about half an hour, and level 50 in about 1 hour, 15 minutes.

There's also an enchanting table aboveground nearby with 30 bookshelves around it if you want to spend your levels right away (probably a good idea: if you die you only get a small part of your exp back, but an enchanted item will remain for 5 minutes while that chunk's loaded for you to pick it back up.) and also lots of sugar canes if you wanna harvest some to make your own bookshelves.

I moved my base to an island , far away feel free to replant and harvest food from my garden at spawn.

Are there npc towns on the new map?

I see what look like a couple small villages, was wondering if they were player made, or generated, since the buildings all seem to be around the same size and style.

One at 94, 2220, another at 158, 1766(this one looks player made because of the giant wall)
