Really miss alpha times. Was less broken in general as far as SSP goes. Game still raping my CPU even in single-player.

This. Every 20-30mins I have to save, exit the game, wait a few, restart. Otherwise, it'll start slowing down really bad. Especially around huge, wooded areas. x.x And it's not that my computer is crap lol...

I started a new map in single player since my old map was so big. Took forever to get to an area that would load new chunks. Sorta sad since I was working on some Genbu/Seiryu/Byakko/Suzaku/Sky Temple thing. But I wanted new trees, lapis, pumpkins, squid, some I dunno, biomes. Etc :D

I think it's yet another case of his leaf-decaying code still being unoptimized as fuck. Would love for him to just make an on/off switch for it under the options so I can test that theory.

The only time I get slow-down is if I just generated a ton of new terrain by exploring unmapped areas. Saving and quitting definitely fixes it for me.

I thought the monster rate got tuned back? my place is a breeding ground for them.

I just went into photoshop and counted every pixel along the outline.
