The MCRegion thing he patched into the official kit seems to work nicely, bumped a very small world of mine from 3k files down to 14. Shit is actually semi-playable on my Mac now without it constantly crunching at the hard drive, should be good for those who run servers.

The enhanced lighting, is that the ambient occlusion mod, or the one that just adds a gradient transition between blocks?

Edit: I'll do the vent thing, I dun really care ;x I'm not that talkative unless I get mobbed by monsters, fall to my death, get roasted, or explode unexpectedly.

Start up a single player game, and under where it says name of the world it'll say Seed, just type 404 there, hit f3 while in world, goto the coord, dig, =)

Has anyone seen any sand in the floating islands map? I can't seem to see any other then under the water....

Uh... is it that giant hole I trigged when I dug enough?

Sand is on the ground level.

Edit: I also claimed a second (low level) island. If you see an island with a bunch of trees and torches then that is mine.

Yea, goes all the way down and there's like 5 natural lava wells/obsidian farms with lots and lots of zombies/creepers lol

Found sand. A bit on land, and some not too far off land. :3 (no sandstone though D

the bottom block of a naturally generated column of sand is sandstone.

what i'm curious about it, can WE generate sandstone by placing 4 blocks high and waiting a looonnnggg time? .....yea probably not gonna happen lol. i'll stay off MP for now until /home is fixed since i kinda ventured off 1000000 miles west with diamond shit.
