Agreed. There was a huge ass fire we had to put out that destroyed an awesome portion of snowy forest.

One thing that I've noticed though is that when a trunk is taken out, the leaves of the tree don't despawn/fall as saplings over time anymore. Can we get that turned back on?

For now endure the 10 people limitation till Notch fix it or that I find some funds to upgrade the server's CPU.

I've started development since I think I nailed down the cause of the internet killer bug.

How did you fix your issue cause I'm still having mine and I have no idea what to do to fix it.

you can't "pour lava" in MP. buckets don't work.

I think Notch said it had something to do with lighting causing infinite loops. With all of the forest fires we've had, that would certainly explain the extra cpu load. Since he knows the problem, he should be working on a fix.

How did you fix your issue cause I'm still having mine and I have no idea what to do to fix it.

I bumped up the number of transmit buffers in my ethernet card to 512. Was something I noticed from a lot of the support threads surrounding the issue. Tried it on a whim and it's worked so far.

Hey Ragns, any chance you could post a Cartograph screenshot or two, night/day? I would love to see how our world is looking from the sky right about now. seems like there are enough structures to make for an interesting map.

Yeah, lighting effects going into infinite loops is most likely the issue...

There’s a bug in there now where the cpu usage will shoot up through the roof sometimes, and I think that’s related to lighting. Immediately after the release, there was a hang bug where lighting would go into an infinite loop sometimes on existing loaded maps. I “fixed” that by making the loop always terminate after a certain number of iterations. My guess of what’s going on now is that the lighting probably keeps going into that loop over and over again.

Weird! I was able to use it just fine on Single Player just after the update, I wanted to see how the Biomes looked in it. Wonder if that second little update after the big one broke it, or if it has to do with being the server.exe. I will see if mine works for SP when i get home I guess. Sucks, i was looking forward to seeing our world bird's eye.

It's great, except for one small problem. Someone decided to start building a jutting piece of shit out into the water, almost blocking us off from spawn since we have no access bridges.
