Its a mod called "The Aether", Apparently a lot of work went into it and it looks super well done... Should consider installing it on the Server if you even can O_O

Wow yes. I will be trying that.
I've been keeping up on it for a while and it looks damn good, and damn well made.
Did Notch even make glowstone easier to produce? Back when I bothered to venture the nether you had to collect 9 glowdust to craft one, and it was a righteous pain in the arse to collect that dust, at least for the area it generated for me.
theyre supposed to drop close to 9 per block now I think, but idk for sure
Glowstone drops 2-4 dust.
4 dust make a stone
oh, well the point is it's a better ratio than it was or something right?
Yeah it used to be 1 to 1 and you needed more than double you need now. >: The mod looks pretty super, but I'm worried how often it would get broken due to updates.
This mod looks really amazing, but the more complicated a mod, the more easily it'll be broken -- especially by major updates like the one coming out next (surely within the next 6 months!).
Yeah, I am just going to back up my current .jar and try it out, see how it is. Easy enough to switch back later. Hmm, wonder if those required mods will work with MyCraft or not. Guess I find out.
I'm not really so much worried about restoring my files to default, it's more that this is the kind of mod that, once you get used to it, it's going to be hard to go back to vanilla. I really do like this mod, and I think it could add a huge injection of fun and adventure to a game that's gotten kind of stale, but I think I'm going to wait for the next major update to the base game before I try it; I wanna make sure the developers are going to keep up with it (though after 5+ months of development work, it seems very likely).
I tried it for a bit, REALLY should say that I haven't given it a very fair amount of play though. Took me a while to get it all setup with my MyCraft launcher (which was easy enough). I will say that it is pretty difficult to get around in the Aether, just because it is essentially a ton of clouds that you are navigating to and from, so you need quite a few bridges. There should definitely be a way to craft wings or something. Unfortunately all of the fly mods I have tried aren't working. MyCraft has one built in but I think that the required ShockahPI is somehow negating the flying. It just doesn't work. If i remove Aether and ShockahPI mods from MyCraft then I can fly again (but only on worlds that i have no Aether Mod Items in or it crashes.)
Right now I think I will just keep the save around, but remove the Aether Mod until it is a little more compatible or there is a better way to get around.
EDIT: OK I decided to mess around a bit more. Currently trying to find materials to create a moa stable... so I can raise them and fly them. Also... apparently there is a rare chance that your chest can turn into a mimic when you try to open it. So far it seems to be a very high 'rare' chance lol. I have had to beat down my own treasure chest about 10 times now.
Damn that's amazing, even more so is that they done it all by hand.
In less spectacular news, I've finished what is more or less the final version of my Connect4 game. Switches blocktype when you hit any of the buttons, and I found a way to destroy falling blocks so the dump pit is infinite (unfortunately I don't have a refill method). Might add a mechanism that makes sure loose items are destroyed in the pit as some don't fall into the fire, but it's not hard to go down and pick them up either way. Would also be possible to lower all the redstone at the front so you can't see any.
Spoiler: show
make it so you can hit a switch to have the broken blocks move with a river so you can collect and refill.
I have no way to just push/drop the loose blocks though, I can only push them into fire using the fact that a piston pushing blocks will move items on top, but not destroy redstone/fire so long as the correct block is pushed underneath. I could have it so that some fall into a river but most will stay (using fire to destroy blocks will destroy those that don't fall off the edge, and the other method can only push stuff back and forth)
EDIT:: Built an auto-reloading mechanism, dunno why I didn't think of it before.
Spoiler: show
You can make 2 stacks of each type of block as high as you can/want to make them.
oh I thought you found a way for the piston to break the blocks and push em into a river for collection or something
omg ragns pls somehow put this on the map so we can all play~!

You should build that.
I`m bad at redstone though![]()
