I need some material suggestions for the floors on my current project. D: I'm thinking of making the floors double thick, but i'm not sure on what I should use for the bottom layer. Right now I'm thinking wood planks or stone slabs. :<

I would do terrible things to the new creative mode, no homo. If anything, that is the feature I most look forward to so far from what we've seen.
I hope I can go into creative mode on already existing worlds. Otherwise I think I'm not going to bother with my Boletarian castle anymore :/
The world he was in for Creative and the one in Survival appeared to be the same so I don't see why not. I'm more excited that I can build redstone circuits to my hearts content without using TooManyItems.
It will only make me happy if you can do creative mode on the server as well. But I really doubt it. This update is really lack luster to me.
Minecraft adventure update coming on september 8th, endermen willing.
Nah, probably not the 8th. I'm guessing Monday or Tuesday.

Helm, I hope you don't mind but I lit the outside of your Library in a uniformed fashion with torches. While doing so I found a couple design mistakes and corrected them.
I like what you've done with it so far. I can't wait to see it completed.
Oh? owo) Thanks. You'll have to show me what you changed some time. xD
Lli or dustypeaches or someone with redstone skillz, I need help D:
I'm trying to make a clock for my automated reed farm that emits a tic every ~20 to 60 seconds, it doesn't have to be exact but I need it to be fairly long. Currently it's a bunch of redstone repeaters attached to each other in a circuit with max delay, and that works... but if you leave it on and go so far the chunk unloads, the redstone current stops, and around half the time it stops in a way that flipping the lever to turn it off and on does nothing. When that happens the only way to fix it is to change the delay on the repeater where the redstone power stopped at, and that's not something I want to do, since that means the repeaters will be showing and be ugly in my chamber of water. D:
So I'm wondering if there's a redstone torch version that can be made that does the same thing, where turning on a lever causes the clock to start up, either sending a pulse (or NOT sending a pulse, either works thanks to inverters) every 30 seconds or so, and when you flip the lever off it stops sending pulses/non-pulses. Since redstone torches don't freak out unlike repeaters unless it's too fast, I figure it won't glitch out if you leave the area without turning the signal off.
Would have to use redstone torches (would be really big for ~60s) or minecarts (I *think* these can work if reenter area).
You can make an on/off switch using a sticky piston to push a block over a 1 block hole with redstone running across, it will break the connect but not destroy the redstone so when you retract the block it will reconnect.
You can play the leaked version of 1.8 right now. Check the minecraft official forums. Its pretty neat. I found an abandoned mine that is GIGANTIC and ridiculous.
They are tiny and hate you.
Have any of you found a mine yet? I have and it is UNENDING. I've been stuck down here for over an hour and I've only found 3 chests. It just keeps going in ALL directions.
Sounds like mineshafts are going to be like the awesome cave/caverns I find when I just want to clear the area to build. (And then subsequently can't.)
