I PMed ragns a couple links to disable the stuff, though I'm not sure its 1.8.1. They were posted today however, so I'm thinking they are. :s Hopefully they work.

I wouldn't doubt that since they do behave in a slightly different manner than standard items with their gravitation towards the player from small distances. Are they an entirely separate entity?
