Office 2011 for Mac - Microsoft finally gets it right

This has got to be one of the best Office releases for Mac. It's way faster than 2008, has more or less every feature of its PC counterpart.

Word is clearly better than Pages now, Excel has always been better Numbers and finally, Powerpoint got closer Keynote.

Overall me and many others are very pleased with this release. It is a massive upgrade over 2008 so...yeah, get rid off that junk.

Just installed 2011 today and the speed increase is definitely a marked improvement from previous versions. PowerPoint still has a long way to go in my opinion before it surpasses Keynote on either platform, but the tremendously misguided UI decisions in Office 2008 have been improved.

The scary part of it all: Microsoft has thus far released good stuff for the computer sector; Windows Utilities, Windows 7, Office 2010, Office 2011 (Mac) and given what the beta-test has shown from others I work with and myself I'll toss in the future IE9 as it seems to apparently run faster than either my Google Chrome or my Firefox which is mind-boggling. All I can say is, who the f**k is the head of their division for computers and why didn't they hire the guy earlier!
