Some news on that front. XL games had a Q&A session via twitter for Koreans, but a sneaky Western player asked Jake Song, and he replied that yes they are working on a English version and no they won't be publishing it themselves.

Also NA media outlets all had their accounts denied for Open Beta, PR Manager of XL Games Yvette, was giving out emails to the various news outlets explaining the situation.

So it means they already have a Western Publisher and are just waiting for an announcement. The NA publisher doesn't want the press to cover the Korean version .

The only thing I don't like is the statement about "The NA publisher doesn't want the press to cover the Korean version." Why the hell not? There are so many videos out already. I think XLGames already announced who the Chinese, Japanese, and Russian publishers will be... but we don't know the North American publisher yet. I wonder why that is. *Shakes fist at North American publisher*

In ArcheAge they actually have Red Light Districts in the major cities. Visit a brothel where femme fatalles dance on poles and other dubious stuff.

CB starts in May, with a Q1 2014 launch.

Xl games has also upgraded AA's event system. The event system is exactly the same as Rifts from Rift. A event spawns and if not touched invasions start. But in AA the invasions don't take over the area, they just gank players..lol

They also have region wide events as well. Just like in Rift.

That just made my day. Better than NCSoft any day. I'm still looking forwards to B&S because of the Summoner class, Lyn race, and potentially good (personal) story. But outside of that... not much else. I think every single NCSoft game has closed down or gone F2P tagged on with P2W over here in the West.

And EME. LOL. Ok yeah... sure... right.

Well, my biggest beef with Trion is they ultimately pander to the raiding game with Rift. It'd be interesting if they ever did a census pulling up boss kill achievements and even clears for raids, as I suspect we'd find a vast majority of level capable people have not finished or even attempted such content due to the demands active raiding has on one's time. Maybe it's just "WoW Clone Syndrome" but I hope some day I can find an online RPG that doesn't require me selling my soul to some group of (likely underaged) players just to get shit done.

ArcheAge is a massive open world. There are no raids, gear scores or anything like that. In AA you are not the hero, like in most "WOW clone" games.

So it is up to you to make a name for yourself in AA. You have to carve out your own niche within the game. Be the best farmer, merchant, Criminal, Pirate, crafter, Trader, ect. Heck be a Judge or Jurior in the game and send those gankers to prison, or take bribes from them and set them free...lol

You don't have to be at endgame to experience the content. You can build, craft anything you want at any lvl, you can start a farm at any lvl, you can explore at any lvl. Heck you don't even need to be at endgame to enjoy the pvp.

Here is a lvl 16 player, doing seafare trade, and finding a nice island to build his farm on, along with 2 friends that are lvl 35 and lvl 26.
