Granted, I saw that in the last vid you'd posted. Got a chuckle out of the character's reaction to harvesting. Guy had the occasional zinger that made me laugh, too. Especially when riding the car over the cliff.
Anyone have access to where I can bum their account to try it out D![]()
Did you know that ArcheAge's has a dance system? It's positional and your moves change depending on the direction you are moving in each direction. It's like a mini-game where you must click the right button at the right time and combinate the moves per Button. The best part about it is you have 4 different types of dancing (one for each race but you can use them ALL!) and each direction W, A, S, D changes your steps. There's even a SPACE dance jump move.
Let's have a dance off !!!
Also if you get your friends together, you can form a disco. Lights will start flashing like your in a disco !
If you get a raid together and start dancing you can form a rave !!
Or you can change up your dancing routine and go with something different
Now who wants to get down and dance !
New Update from Trion :
http://forums.archeagegame.com/showt...ames-Patch-1.2
If you've been following ArcheAge, you may have heard about a game update simply called Patch 1.0.
Initially released in Korea, this update has been the source of no small amount of concern from our ArcheAge community since we announced the game was coming to North America and Europe. Upon seeing the behavior of the patch's changes in the wild, the game's developer, XLGames, agreed that ArcheAge's balance and feel had shifted in an unintentional direction. Behind the scenes, we've been carefully following public feedback over the past few months, and had a chance to exhaustively test out the update on our own internal servers. While there are a number of gameplay improvements, we agree with their conclusion.
Both Trion Worlds and XLGames are eager to maintain the game's sandbox nature. Our mutual, overriding goal has always been to release the best quality, most fun experience possible. Toward that end, members of our ArcheAge Team visited XLGames this past week to discuss Patch 1.0. Together, we've forged the best possible path to launch for Trion Worlds' version of ArcheAge.
We're thrilled to announce that both Trion Worlds and XLGames have agreed that it's best for us go live with Patch 1.2's amazing improvements when we launch with English, French, and German languages in 2014. Launching with Patch 1.2 is a challenge as it adds over 70,000 words to translate. Since we want a complete English translation before introducing a larger audience to the game, this does mean that our Beta schedule has shifted by a few weeks. That means that we can't announce a specific date for the first Beta right now, but we wanted to get the great news about the game itself out as early as possible.
Patch 1.2 also introduces a host of exciting improvements on its own, including increased experience per Labor Point spent, a searchable crafting folio that works with recipe or ingredient names, significantly reduced (from Patch 1.0) glider turbulence on the high sea, and the ability to earn experience from crafting with maxed-out professions and participating in PvP during a war. Additionally, the Marketplace (in-game store) will be available before Beta begins and we'll grant testers sufficient currency to test it out. It's important to note that our previously announced game improvements such as international trade routes granting Gilda Stars, storyline quests earning experience, and trade packs dividing turn-in rewards 80/20 between pack holder and pack owner will persist through this update.
We're actively working with XLGames to bring our first build featuring Patch 1.2 changes to our Alpha server for gameplay testing and feedback. Since time is of the essence, we will not be holding this build back while waiting on complete translation, meaning that our Alpha testers will see partially translated content and will be asked to focus their feedback purely on how the gameplay feels. Rest assured, we do not anticipate the need to wipe the Alpha server for this update.
With this new game plan announced, the team is very interested to hear your thoughts and to be able to answer your questions. Our weekly livestream will be all about our visit with XLGames and the news revealed in this announcement. Ask your questions in this forum thread and then join us tomorrow afternoon on Twitch where we'll field as many as possible.
Our sincere thanks to each and every one of you for being a member of ArcheAge's pre-launch community. We're glad you're on this adventure with us!

This is cool that they will be up to date with the Korean version, and the fact they are skipping 1.0 and going straight into the 1.2 version. Version 1.0 caused such a huge uproar in Korea that it almost killed the game. The 1.2 version fixes a lot of the issues people had with 1.0. But it will take many more weeks (months perhaps) to get the game to release.

Last Thursday Trion made a few announcements in their live stream regarding information about the upcoming game update and closed beta test, I thought a recap might be useful for a lot of people, whether currently in Alpha or not. So, here we go ...
- A second Alpha server will be opened soon. The name will be Omega, and while they wanted to open it in Amsterdam technical reasons forced them to open it in the US.
- The 1.2 game update (4.0 patch for the NA/EU version) heading to the alpha servers will be the current 1.2 version currently live in KR and everything that it includes. Much of it will not yet be translated.
- The 1.2 Alpha patch is likely imminent as it will hit before the Closed Beta Test starts, and the CBT is expected in "a couple of weeks".
- The 1.2 Alpha patch will require a full download (i.e. you will need to download the entire game again) and the servers will be offline for an extended period of time.
- The 1.2 Alpha patch will not include the NA/EU regional specific changes such as cross-continental Gilda Star trading, the 80/20 split, ping dependent skill fixes or other changes that XL will be providing at Trion's request.
- The level cap will be locked at 50, and the new zones will not be available as that is designed for lvl 51-55 content.
- The 1.2 patch includes the secure land trading system.
- Borderless windowed mode and darker skin tones has been requested, and both are things XLGames wants to do, but no time table has been provided or confirmation that these will ever make it into the game.
- Labor certificates (the ability to pay property taxes with labor) will be in the game.
- Nations (player made factions) will NOT be available at launch, but will likely be at some point in the future. There were some problems in the KR release of this that XL is working on. As such, the unclaimable areas in Auroria will not be available at launch since these are tied to Nations.
- Closed Beta will be a separate download and installation.
- Refined Hereafter Stones will be converted to standard Hereafter stones at a ratio of 3 to 1.
- Nui tears can no longer be used as a currency. Existing Nui Tears can be vendored for 20 silver each.
- Trion does not plan to have the Sloth Glider available in the store, as they believe it is "best in slot" and they do not want any BiS items in the store.
- Labor potions WILL be available in the store, and will have a cooldown (cannot spam Labor potions for infinite labor).
- Ink, dyes, items for custom crests and costumes will all be store items.
- The Glass Phoenix Glider from the Archeum and Gold Founders packs will NOT be available in the store, and will be useable at level 1.
- A crafting reforging system is coming in 1.2 that allows a crafter to take 3 items of a stat base they do not want, and combine them to have another shot at the stat base they do want.
- Healer kill assist for credit in PvP is coming. Player EXP will be included for PvP kills in a zone that is in war time.
- The item to buy Patron status with in-game currency will be called "Apex". Apex will be bought in the store and can then be traded to a player in game. The buyer then clicks the Apex to convert it into credits, which can then be used to buy Patron status.
- As a follow up to the point above, credits provided as part of the Founders Packs CAN be used to purchase Patron status if one so desires.
lol?Borderless windowed mode and darker skin tones has been requested, and both are things XLGames wants to do, but no time table has been provided or confirmation that these will ever make it into the game.
Obviously they don't want the bad PR of someone with a black toon farming and posting about it.

The ArcheAge Patron Program and APEX System
Announced two months ago alongside the beginning of Alpha, ArcheAge’s Patron Program was born from the experience of taking our first MMO, RIFT, to a free-to-play model. In simplest terms, the program grants access to exclusive features and expanded benefits in-game. This premium service tier, called Patron status, can be gained through a variety of methods. As a cornerstone of our “No Tricks, No Traps” approach to free-to-play, it’s important to us that the Patron Program adds to the fun of ArcheAge but is not required to play the game. This optional program was jointly designed by XLGames and Trion Worlds and is available to those players who want to get a little extra out of ArcheAge.
Before we discuss how to get it, let’s detail what Patron status means in ArcheAge. Patrons will enjoy the following benefits:
• Bonus online Labor Point regeneration (10 per 5 minutes)
• Offline Labor Point regeneration (5 per 5 minutes)
• Increased maximum Labor Points cap (5000 maximum)
• 10% bonus to all Experience gained through combat or labor usage
• 10% discount on Marketplace purchases (available after launch)
• 5 Loyalty Tokens per day for use in the Loyalty Store (awarded on first login of the day)
• Ability to claim land by placing farms and houses
• Ability to pay in-game taxes on owned property
• Ability to post auctions on the Auction House by default
The Marketplace and Loyalty Store are different in that the former accepts Credits, the premium currency of ArcheAge, while the latter accepts Loyalty Tokens earned from the Patron Program. The Loyalty Store will offer a variety of items including special pets, fun musical instruments, certificates that cover weekly taxes on a large farm, and Patron-only lock boxes that each contain valuable, surprise loot. Patron and free accounts will both start with two character slots and will be able to purchase additional slots up to a maximum of six across all servers, with a maximum of four slots on a single server.
Free accounts will be able to make purchases from the Auction House but will not be able to post their own listings by default, nor do they regenerate Labor Points while offline. Free accounts will be able to unlock full Auction House access as a low-cost Marketplace purchase, a measure in place to protect the in-game economy from mass-created accounts. Players whose Patron status lapses will retain full Auction House access. We are currently exploring options for allowing free accounts to also have the ability to build housing and pay taxes after ArcheAge launches while preventing abuse of this permission.
All Founders will be considered Patrons during all testing phases. The Patron time included in Founder’s Packs will begin counting down on launch day. In addition, the Credits included in each Founder’s Pack can be used to purchase additional Patron time via the Marketplace at any time on or after launch day.
To ensure that all players have the option to potentially become a Patron, there are two ways to obtain this status. Players can purchase Patron Status as a subscription via real money on the Trion Worlds web store; expect pricing in line with RIFT’s current Patron Program. Alternately, players can use credits to purchase a Patron Pass through the ArcheAge Marketplace – these credits can be acquired by web store purchase, Founder’s Packs, or by obtaining an in-game item called APEX.
APEX, short for ArcheAge Patron Exchange, is an in-game item that can be sold on ArcheAge’s Auction House or traded between players; it grants Credits when consumed by a character. The Credits granted by an APEX can then be spent on any Marketplace purchase, including the 30-day Patron Pass mentioned above. This allows industrious players in ArcheAge to let their gameplay pay for their Patron status without spending real money.
We’ll be hosting a livestream to further discuss the Patron Program, the APEX System, and where we’re at with Patch 1.2 and the second Alpha server. We’re eager to test out both the Marketplace and the Patron Store in Alpha and will be granting our testers sufficient currencies to try them out and help us get them ready for live service. Be sure to share your questions about this announcement in this forum thread and then join us on Thursday afternoon on Twitch.
Again, thank you for joining ArcheAge’s founding community and experiencing the game’s path to launch with us!

As far as I know this is the first Siege on the NA Alpha server. Granted, the attackers didn't use siege machines, which gave the defence a guaranteed win. But White Order and Navarchy still brought the pain for a good hour!

MMorpg.com is giving away beta keys, they are going fast. Better hurry!!!
http://www.mmorpg.com/giveaways.cfm/...-Giveaway.html
Trion is now handing out invitations to randomly selected players who signed up for Beta. So check your email or junk folder to see if you got lucky.
Good luck to those who got invited.
I know this is the first beta test, but they are giving out so many keys "tens of thousands". How far away do you think release is?
Anything earlier than October would surprise me. I'm guessing they'll want to push it out before Rift's expansion, too, which might be Novemberish.
Though I´m kinda hooked on PSO2 right now, I´m kinda interested in this too, so if anybody happens to have a spare beta key for me that´d be awesome.
I'm guessing around October as well. Trion probably wants to push this game out before the next WOW expansion and Rifts expansion.
Also yea they are giving out keys to thousands, and they are only going to have 2 beta servers, one for Europe and one for NA. I am expecting massive wait times.
