Ended up moving to Inoch when that opened up monday. Name is Anoni on the on the eastern side. For the westerners on tahyang, you get free imaginary points for every OranThul guildie you take down lol.

FYI; Don't shut down the game for going AFK/leaving. Go to character selection screen instead and you'll stay loaded, ie no queue.

If you stay at char select do you get the logged in or logged out lp per5?

You get points no matter what side for taking out members of that fucking blob guild.

18 imaginary points accumulated as of today. ~10 of which outlevel´d me by at least 5 or 6 levels. ~4 or 5 were gank attempts by multiple OTs. Zergling scrubs have no skill whatsoever it´s pretty laughable.

Who is OranThul and why do I keep hearing about them? From the chat on Tahyang, they are a bunch of guys that PK their own faction and hang out in non war zones.

On that note, what guilds are everyone in? I joined a smaller, quiet one that I'm not sure will make it outside a few who seem to be into the game. I've seen shouts for the same few constantly, but from everything I've seen they don't do anything but kill their own faction and brag about whatever trivial thing they've apparently done.

Having client launching problems. On fresh install, it's all good. After a fresh system boot up, hangs right after HackShield loads. Did reinstall, worked fine. Tried starting this morning when I woke up, hangs again. Supposedly this has been happeing since Beta and nothing has been done to remedy it.

Oh well, at least I only intended to play this casually once the queues of 1000+ die down.

HackShield is terrible and super ineffective. It might work as a scare tactic, but not as a preventive measure.

There is probably some process on your system accessing a file that HS thinks is malicious, probably that it created itself. Awesome software.

Oran'Thul basically acts as their own faction, and will try to do whatever they want as long as they have the numbers present on the field. Only reason why they can is because they have a large number of people in their guild. Their leader is arrogant and self-sighted to the point where it's a hindrance. OT only exists to feed him.

Once you get them away from a blob engagement, they fall like a house of cards. Forrest Crow fucked them proper in Alpha in a 50v50 castle engagement just by taking out Nekrage. While their members play the meta, they don't play the meta well.

Joined the queue at 5PM EST when I got home from work. Just got into the character select screen at 9PM. Game crashed while I was logging into my character and I'm back at the end of the queue again. I thought there was suppose to be a grace period now?

There are so many morons on reddit crying about how they shouldn't add new servers because they'll be ghost towns in a couple months.

Yeah, if the MMO is unsuccessful and if it continues to limp along like this for another couple weeks that's going to heavily impact that outcome.

I'd like to know what kind of alternative these people want though? For them to not add anymore servers until the people in queue just don't want to play anymore and then the population stagnates at current server capacity? Cause that's totally healthy for a burgeoning MMO. >_>

Not only that but I can't actually think of an MMO that has done that (adding servers and then massive population decrease) and suffered from it, aside from maybe TOR but we all knew that was going to be a pile of shit before it was released, so it should have been expected.

I liked the concept of overflow servers that GW2 did, where basically they put you on a limbo server until your selected one was less congested and it prompted you to port over. Of course, you didn't have to, especially if being in less congested zones was advantageous. Will probably never happen, though, because PvPers dictate people should have nowhere to hide because their fun must be ruined.

I had forgotten about this, and yeah, i actually liked that alot. Since PvP is pretty important in this game though, probably not have the option to stay on the overflow server.

On a side note, Going to hit 50 when the servers come back up, (49 and 55%) so pretty excited, got my clipper, got my house, got my farmers work bench, about to start spamming trade runs when my buddies get 50, and we can get started on that Hasla farm lol. I also hit 10k prof in tailoring and got the mat's to craft my level 40 armor set. Game is pretty fucking amazing. I went exploring alone on my clipper when i got it. Just went out into the ocean.. no land in sight, and just dove as deep as i could. It was fucking awesome... found a shipwreck (no treasure though) and when i came back up to my boat, the sun was setting and it was just beautiful as all get out. Like... just a giddy feeling. there is so much stuff to do in this game, shit I haven't even ran any of the dungeons past Hadir's farm, so I have all of those (i don't expect anything amazing, but something to do atleast)
