Cursed Hauberk synth costs have probably tripled on Bismarck in the last month, it's retarded. 100k adaman ingots and 150k damascus ingots is balls.

Those have been around Asura's prices for a while now. Although it wouldn't be so bad if more ingots were up. Going 1/24 over a weeks span is a lot of time with no money

I followed choice 2 until I reached 4 years of the abjuration rotting in my MH, at which point I just went with choice 1.

Now if your server barely has any -1 poping in bazaar, that's another story, choice 2 being the only way :/ Here on Cerberus, there is always a -1 available for 19M, always.

I actually really regret going the fast way for the abjuration also. Spent about 30m in tea before I said fuck it and stopped buying them, then took around 5 months to find a seller for the abjuration for 8m. Asura seems to have the absolute worst market for this item also, when I was looking to buy the ABJ there were 6+ people looking at the same time on ffxiah. Now I am looking to buy the -1 and almost half the list of wanted on ffxiah are from asura. This is why one of my pet peeves is people claiming Armadaberk is easy to get because you can buy it now.

In my experience, if you are able to make money it is almost always better to buy a loot pool item from someone else than attempt to do it yourself.

For example, if Sweet Tea is going for 5-8m on your server, and you can buy an abjuration for 5-8m from someone who is selling them (AH Bazaar, shout, networking) then you are always better off just buying the abjuration. The risk is all on the seller and costs you nothing but the time to run to DA and fork over your cash. You can obviously try to sell the rest of your crap off if you buy your own Sweet Tea, but you're still putting yourself at the mercy of the RNG and we all know how silly that is.

On the flip side, getting the -1 Hauberk is probably easier (especially with some farm tools for pearls) to do yourself. If you gather all the pearls yourself, you're probably only looking at 10m for 30 synths. Obviously the pearls have a value of their own, but they are very easy to get afk, doing homework, etc. If it's a friend doing the synths, you might even get lucky and make more than one HQ and everyone loves getting all of their shit+tatters for free.

The problem is that because it is almost always better to buy instead of risk the Tea, it is extremely hard to find sellers. On Asura at least no one makes a business or anything out of selling king drops, which means listing you want it on ffxiah is pretty pointless, and the only real chance you have of buying one is sitting in PJ 24/7 and watching for a shout of some group that's only gonna do one nidhogg.

Sounds like my luck back when I got mine. Was nearly a year before we saw one drop. Plenty and plenty of mbody though. And now I need to dump seals into getting a new one if I want hq of course.
