So I haven't done salvage much since they patched the drop rates way back, I don't know if this is something that happens often now but given what I used to see this just makes me sad:

I know for a fact that Pchan actually has a black belt, but somewhere in his thought pattern there is some argumentation why the Twilight beats black.
I am sure that this has been discussed somewhere before, either here or the official forums.

Well with his current gear, he only needs 7% haste in the waist slot to cap, and 2%DA > 7Str. Not that I'm saying his other gear slots are correct, I don't know enough about Mnk.

use your prefered melee job that doesn't suck, you know what it is, cure VI from a job that doesn't suck, you know what it is. Meteor is only 800 dmg.

My LS did it with a complete half assed attempt at it. 2 melee parties, each with WHM + BRD, it was so laggy we couldn't even rotate. Everyone just 2 houred and it was down in under 2 minutes. I couldn't imagine how fast it could have melted if we were prepped correctly. But yeah, completely doable at 75, and so much more efficient than that 20+ Min kiting tactic that most people favored. Hilarious.

Highpower on Cerberus used to straight tank KB at 75. Didn't zerg it either, was always impressive to watch, especially watching all the people outside their alliance get PWNed to meteor.
