Killed it 8-10 Times when it first came out, a collective 10-15 Randomly when i was just in the zone and it was up. (So Not too many kills tbh, but hrrghlgggrg that thing)

Octant is still something i want for my THF. I just sorta gave up on it because... IDK. I should camp it again sometime, Could be fun.

I think I went 1/18 on Octant. The only upside was that it usually popped within an hour of showing up. I don't use it as much as I thought I would. A single shot at the start of fights to stick an acid bolt (they'll land on Meeble Burrow bosses, too). It's a loss of damage to use bloody bolts over healing waltz, but it has saved me a couple of times during large links where I had 0 TP and needed a cure.

Buy the pulse cells. As long as you have a way to make ~300,000 gil per hour it's faster to buy the pulse cells than it is to shout for Kaggen in my experience.

Is it really? That is surprising, I'm not sure I believe it without some evidence to be honest. I mean 4 bloody bolts will heal a similar amount of damage as one healing waltz, but they'll also damage the target (drain is proper drain, not shitty samba drain afterall, so prolly looking at like 120-130ish dmg per 194 delay shot) and give around 11TP. Shooting DPS isn't as terrible anymore since they lowered the "reloading" delay to almost instant.

When I did some napkin math a few months ago I came up with a decrease. It was somewhat close, although I assumed that Oynos knife hadn't kicked in yet. Some of it is a few pages back in my post history, but I never posted the final numbers, and I'm not sure I have any record of them. I might rerun them later.

One additional problem that I ran into when I went to try bloody bolts in practice is that I wasn't getting capped returns on Dynamis EP in my ranged accuracy set. Approximately 90 is the cap before piercing bonus, but I was only getting around 70. I was told the HP drain is affected by INT, so I tried swapping in some of my INT gear from BLM, but I could only equip a few things on THF and I didn't see a difference. I didn't have enough inventory space to carry an INT set for thief so I scrapped it.

So trying to get my tongue I did 2 KS99's and got 2 Shanks for Behemoth. Contemplated if we should sell the shanks or not, said fuck it and got shank off second Behemoth and popped King Behemoth. While fighting I tell my wife that if the Ring drops she's leveling Pld and Aegis, she laughed at me.... then this shit happened....
