I've been abusing the shit out of discernment and farming Glavoid, the spoils so far:
50 shells
Goading belt
Tactical mantle
Augur gloves
Ocelot Trousers (whyyy? I don't know.)
Timarli body
Meridian ring
Half a dozen Regurgitated wings

I soloed Myrm today with Blue !! proc on DNC/NIN... no Owleyes. Myrm's Atma, Owleyes, 4% Waltz shoes, a better Wivre Gorget, and Cuelebre's Atma are the last five things I need from Tahrongi. 3 of them would take 20 minutes in a party, 2 of them are never going to happen.

Are you solo'ing Glavoid, if so how long is it taking you and is it feasible for a nin/dnc?

It takes an eternity on RDM (longer than 120 minutes, I believe) and I doubt it's possible on NIN, at least not if you want to do it in a practical manner rather than just to say you did it. If it hits you with Disgorge/a powerful Gorge without Migawari up, you're dead.

Not entirely true, RDM nukes do 2% each generally. If you land one nuke per minute all clean(very very low end estimate), you should be able to do it in under an hour.. I know Cair did it but there was obviously a pretty high amount of mistakes if it took that long. Still wouldn't recommend soloing it on any job, disgorge is a dick.

He didn't do it from start to finish - I think someone stole it from him or took it after he wiped at like 60-70% and then he finished it from 10-20%. He can give more specific details, but I imagine that HP restored from Gorge/BW, MDT mode post-BW and most likely being Slowed for a significant chunk of the fight would serve to increase the fight time quite substantially. But that's just speculation, I only have experience duo'ing it.

I died at 68% due to a poorly timed Disgorge -> Stonega IV and not having inventory room for additional Shihei. Really dumb fuck up, but yeah. It took me 60 minutes to get it to 68% because I was having a really horrid time understanding its cast pattern and was healing it rather consistently. I got it back at 22% after the group that took it when I died decided not to kill, realized they couldn't manage it, or whatever, and Teleport-Holla'd out. I killed it from there in about 20 minutes. It's a really annoying solo with Slowga, etc. as RDM/NIN and I wouldn't recommend it due to time/reliability reasons.. but it's definitely possible.

NIN could potentially manage, but I still wouldn't recommend it due to time/reliability.

Also, Aero IV was the only thing that really landed for full damage, and given that you're often Slowed, the frequency of its casting, and the Stoneskin it gains after WSing, that's a pretty fair estimate on normal damage flow if you don't heal it at all.

In my experience, Glavoid's Disgorge can be used without a Gorge proceeding it. I've had him use it as his first TP move. In those cases, it does a flat 3k damage.

I did not solo Glavoid, generally I took it on with WHM, THF, MNK, DNC, and anyone else who happened to be in zone. Typical strategy, limited it to just the Monk and DNC (me) on it. In fact, I didn't solo most of the monsters. We just killed them with the group we were running around with.

We had it do 5700 the other day when it disgorged before gorging, it isn't a flat 3000.

edit: it was a 600k surprise when all i wanted was a title.. and to solo it (which was extremely easy).
