Yeah we did it with PD. He got a Meteor off both fights but it wasn't an issue obviously. It still easily one-shots mages at 90 and would probably do critical damage to melee if not kill them also. I'd say the fight took no more than 30 seconds, so we were never in danger of losing PD.

How many DD did you use? If you don't mind me asking

Had 12 full-time DDs (4 in each party) and 5 of which had Empyreans (3 Masas, Gaxe, Polearm), with a DNC in each PT also, and cycled through COR rolls/BRD songs, and an SMN for PD.

Late, but brew does add DT. 6900 needles did 690 with brew on, tested after brewing a Rani. 90% DT is definitely enough to survive 40k needles.

First egg out of 15+ runs tonight >.> Makes up for our good luck of 2/7 last week. So glad not to have to camp that turtle anymore...

pretty sure it's still relevant even more so now. It may not be funny anymore but it's kind of wtf to see that many people in something that requires a lot less.

It depends on the nature of the run, but it's plausible that maximizing numbers is best at the individual level. Man-hours, typically used by Thorny, only apply if you either 1) Only look at gains from an LS perspective or 2) The side-activity of non-participants benefits the individual. The first simply means that the goals of individuals and the LS are different. The individual's goals include everything he wants for himself. The LS's goals include everything the group wants total. From an LS perspective, trimming members is best if they pursue interests that reduce the wants of the shell. However, at the individual level, if Maacha trims the number of people participating, it only benefits him or her if the trimmed people participate in an activity that help him or her get gear he or she wants. In other words, man-hours will only matter to Maacha if they go do something else that helps Maacha.

That said, 15 chances at an egg is better than 3.

Am I the only one that likes doing old content with lots of people? I spend 90% of my time trioing with my husband and our mule in abyssea. Pretty much any time I ask if anyone is interested in a fun dynamis/einherjar/etc, I get a lot of volunteers because people are always interested in just having some fun and BSing together. Last night we took like 12 level 90s into Dynamis-Xarcabard just because a lot of people tabbed when we asked anyone wanted to come along with our normal 6 man DL farming group. Ended up nearly clearing the zone, killing almost all of the fragment NMs, and netting over 40 af, shadow mantle, and about 800 currency. But the most important thing is: Everyone had fun.

We had different people cycle through during the run, we used a LOT of orbs, I really lost count... I had a search comment set looking for members, so people just kept showing up. More people means we can kill it faster and get more orbs done ^^; Only 2 eggs out of all of that, and 1 pair of boots.

Got plenty of coins lying around from doing runs so I'll help myself to completing some of these weapons.
