Tested things on WAR, updated the previous post. Looks like it is actually global cap change. I did notice some weirdly high spikes on Raging Rush earlier today, so this makes sense.

Sound like you made some testing on mob's stats ? Can you post (or PM me) your /checks with ALL relevant infos, and i'll post them in Monster Data Mathy Parts (Credits to you of course).
DA/TA parses done are still valid, just need them to be reanalysed and add control tests for DA or TA alone, that's all. Dunno if their conclusions will remains with a fixed KParser.I've been hearing rumors about ddex cap being raised too, which is gonna change some things. Although for NIN GH is still a huge boost to your WS mods, so *shrug. Then you have the whole DA/TA canceling out crap. I'll leave it to the people who model to figure this stuff out once all the testing is done =x
Regarding dDEX cap, i was wondering too if should test further but... im now elvaan lvl90 6STR merited = byebye Hpemdes ;;
Razed Ruins, Kamome and Qirmiz Tathlum give a 45% to critical attack bonus while Loki's Kaftan will add another 5% if you have Blade: Hi (should be using AF3+2 for Blade: Jin.) The worst case scenario for Gnarled Horn is when cRatio is capped. Average (prerandomization) pDIFs would be around 2.0 and 2.8 for non critical and critical strikes (at least I believe so, I am not terribly familiar with these distributions so perhaps somebody can correct me.) You could then approximate the increase in damage from critical attack bonus by multiplying it through the critical strike pDIF and weighing the result with the non critical pDIF to give you some idea of how it might look.
Gnarled Horn
(0.75)(2.8)(1.45) + (0.25)(2.0) = 3.545
(0.75)(2.8)(1.50) + (0.25)(2.0) = 3.650
Sanguine Scythe
(0.55)(2.8)(1.65) + (0.45)(2.0) = 3.441
(0.55)(2.8)(1.70) + (0.45)(2.0) = 3.518
The weaponskill approximations aren't accurate because there is definitely some bonus to critical hit rate on Blade: Hi, the effects of +50 AGI on WSC are also ignored so I'm still placing my bet on Gnarled Horn. The bonus to Subtle Blow and Counters are just icing on the cake. Really though much of it falls onto how dDEX functions now, if it has indeed changed.
I'm checking out dDEX > 50 right now. Did an initial parse earlier, heading out to afk on Hpemde atm.
dDEX raise is a raise on base crit rate you can have(buff) or a raise on dex you need to reach old cap(nerf)?
My RR/GH abyssea parse showed 75% crit rate as expected with infinity Dex on Dancer. dDEX cap certainly hasn't changed, which is what was reported.
My parse from last night was cut atrociously short by automatic windows update, but it showed numbers in the range of what I'd have predicted by the previous dDEX formulas.
Yeah, definitely not a base critrate cap increase. 55% critrate with RR inside Abyssea, 25% critrate outside Abyssea with dDEX=73, both sample sizes over 4k. Wonder what the change was.
Yeah, actually the DA-TA canceling results were a parser error. It has been updated since on the kparser site.
I just fking said that like 1 page ago D:
Dark Depths is 20% critrate, correct?
Well, haven't had a noncrit yet with 103% critrate in gear/atmas so I guess they upped the cap to 100%.
So much for DRK getting buffed.
lolSAM, etc
My bad on DA/TA. I haven't been keeping up with all the info, sorries =x
Yes but did the results been reanalyzed since the "fix" to make sure the DA/TA canceling were indeed an error from parser ?
Same question for Atoreis, mind posting how YOU tested please ?
Sorry if i sound aggressive on that topic, but proving those hypothesises is playing critically with parser accuracy, sample sizes and the % you aiming to test.
Variances in results obtained made ppl balanced on one hypothesis more than the other and vice versa for very long time...
Conclusion: i would still declare any TA/DA/multiattacks order checks hypothesis as unproven.
This was a pretty good test of that, in my opinion. The +3 and +4 rounds are somewhat concerning, but even if you add 2 rounds to "Pimpchan" at the top, it's still within 1 of the control-mule.
