minuet and lullaby for group 1, night/troub for group 2.

Tier 1, lullaby recast for sure, anything else is generally a waste. Tier 2, at least 1 point in night/troub, anything else is generally a waste. For magic, level a useful job and cap elemental/enfeebling, it's piss-easy to cap march now without merits.

Lsmates who have done lusca quite a few times are claiming that I should *NOT* trigger grellow because it seems to decrease the drop rate of the 1 coin of vision. Has anyone else seen this?

I don't think we've ever done a t2 where we triggered grellow and the 'off' upgrade item hasn't dropped. Your lsmate is an idiot. Even if it were true, I higher chance for 2 or 3 of the main item outweighs a slight decrease in the chance for a single off item.

Fair enough, thanks! Only after the coin for blm really and for some reason LSmates seem way too scared of Amun to build Ulhuadshi popsets. I don't see why we can't throw 4 mage/nins at it and kill in 10 mins, but damn the voice of reason.

Ulhuadshi isn't hard its just a dick. The fight is a joke until the last 10% where it gets dickish. Only problem with more than 2people is the players mpk'ing each other with its casts.

10~20% probably. Went 1/13 myself, with th for 3 kills, including the one that dropped.

Do a TE party where you get a shitload of time once you cap lights , drop from the party, solo for caskets on a job that gets amber(I use blu) solo til you get down to 120 mins, exit and repeat until you get all your feet.

The way I got mine was joining a /sh group but telling the leader I was only there for RDM feet. I would pass all money items and other af3. Leader agreed and told alliance. Pair dropped, I lotted and everyone else passed.

I've had that happen multiple times where the main item dropped x3 and the "off" item dropped 0.

I thought that grellow made the 'off' item 50% as opposed to 30%ish. @ cdgreg: it gets spammy with absorb so you end up frequently healing it as well as the fact it gains damage resistance so nukes hit for 1/4 and 1/2 frequently.

I've had stretches on a reasonably well geared and optimally atma'd/merited blm where I couldn't hit 100 dmg with any nuke for like 10 straight casts, mob was ~8-15% at the time.
