Don't know about you but I see large quantities of people using ja0wait publicly and noticeably. Unless you have a lot of people out to get you I doubt you will be getting banned from this unless blatantly using it in large crowds of random people.

ja0wait would be safer than editing a .dat. You can turn off ja0wait with just a click.

Cream Soda(?) posted his testimony to being GM'd for removing dance dats, thus we have this stigma. Either one will get you in trouble, but one is quicker than the other and beneficial to all jobs.

If you are changing dats, you probably use Windower.

Well, it's not impossible. They could exam the logs to see if you're moving sooner than you should. Though since that can potentially be attributed to blinking, so it wouldn't be very practical, depending on how accurate the time stamps are on the logs (if it just goes down to the second, then there might be no way to know if you changed gear before or after the spell finished).

Of course they could always watch you after they get the gm call, assuming you're still using it at the time. Still, vegetto is the only one i've ever even heard of even getting a warning (i think?) for it, so yeah, just use it. It's safe.
