easily. keep the rdm far back (max cast range) to avoid sominal durance with seps. can't wake the person that gets slept (like diabolos) so they'll have to cure the blu through it. Chhir Batti is a complete and utter joke. The worst part of the fight is popping it and dragging it to kill spot without links.

Cures will wake the person slept, melee hits will not. If your RDM is keeping an eye on the log, he can begin casting a cure immediately and it'll be a non-issue, really.

Is there a reason to NOT use presto every 30seconds? Assume Abyssea on XP mobs, so capping steps on them better not be happening...

I wrote up a spellcast rule to use presto if it's up before using the step, just don't know if it's worth it or not. Only experience I have with presto is on the wife's Dancer, but that was before they changed it to not share a timer with steps. Now that it has it's own timer, I assume there would be no good reason to not use it.

...anyone? I didn't see any responses to this. Seems fairly obvious that you would want to presto when up. 1 level away from using it after 2 surprisingly good Abyssea pickup parties this weekend.

Blinking the animation out is fine, using ja0wait or removing the .dat for it, is not.

What dats don't cause it to lock? I thought I read somewhere that the level up or merit point animation works...

...anyone? I didn't see any responses to this. Seems fairly obvious that you would want to presto when up. 1 level away from using it after 2 surprisingly good Abyssea pickup parties this weekend.

Other than the 60 or so JA delay, not really. I find it very useful now that it's on a separate timer.

I'm running two instances of the game on one screen. When i try to click between the two screens my controller i have hooked up doesn't always immediately switch over, making it hard to dual box. I recall there was a program that let me switch between 2 characters and have my controls switch instantly. anyone remember or know what that is?

Incidentally, and I didn't know this until I saw a NIN soloing Seps, Somnal Durance is a gaze move and can be avoided if you turn quickly when he readies it.

Only if the stun occurred while the NM wasn't performing another action (eg: casting a spell, readying a TP move, etc).

Ya'. You can proc it when it's in its 'base' position (idle/engaged, nothing else), para doesn't affect that.

I feel like I'm missing something with this. Are you saying that if I get all of the buffs then cancel the HP buff that the ring will just work? Are there any caveats to this like a need for some of the abyssite that enhances the HP buffs? Will this work for all of the <76% hp latent rings?

Is there any practical way to get this to work outside of abyssea?

You cannot manually get rid of a cruor enhancement. If you click one, it disappears, and then reapplies itself. In the case of HP or MP, it will simply drop your HP to its unaugmented level, and then increase the cap immediately after, only without restoring all the HP you just lost.

1000/1000 base HP -> get 25% enhancement -> 1250/1250 HP -> manually cancel HP buff -> 1000/1250 HP

Isn't Sominal Durance a 'gaze' attack similar to Cep-Kamuy's hypnotic lantern? I'm fairly certain I've had it proc "no effect" on me on BRD several times while going in to sing songs and having my back turned to it.

I'll search through logs real quick to double check.
