Probably stupid question but I took a cursory look through this thread and didn't see it asked; how far behind STR Taipan Fangs+1 are Destroyers with RR+GH?

i've been away for a couple months.. mainly hit 85 on bard and dragoon and then stopped playing again. Could anyone give me maybe a run down of what my dragoon should look like (no salvage gear) and how i should approach abyssea - getting whatever atmas i need/abyssites?

1. Razed Ruins if you didn't already have it.
2. Voracious Violent if you didn't already have it. There's a lot of other situational Atma, but aside from maybe an HP atma, these two will cover your DRG for 90%+ situations.
3. Minikin Monstrocity if you care about BRD.
4. Get updated on the following Abyssites: Furtherance, Merit, Fortune, Kismet, and Destiny. Celerity and Soujourn are probably not a huge deal to you given you (presumably) had Abyssea activated and been out of action for a long time.
5. Update your weapon, prepare for lame Magian Trials, or find a group that'll get you something else serviceable like Skogul.
6. Work toward your Lancer set. It's pretty disgusting in a very good way.

Alternatively, depending on if you give two shits about your brd, the Aoidos set right now is currently presumed glitched, and incredibly powerful. Very broken kind of powerful for dmg negation purposes. Most people assume it'll get fix in the next weeks when the next update happens, so you may or may not care to focus your time heavily on it or not. I'd personally suggest focusing on your DRG over your BRD (and I'm a career BRD), but it's your time, not mine.

Quick and simple check, Taipan Fangs are about 8% ahead of Destroyers. Destroyers themselves are a couple percent ahead of Hades +1, whereas Hades +1 tended to be a bit ahead of Destroyers before Abyssea. The +crit rate on them has helped keep them afloat better than other 75 weapons, but magians are still substantially ahead.

Having a complete brainfart while trying to rewrite my WAR spellcast since my main PC is broken. How do I write it to lock in Cavaros Mantle while Mighty Strikes is active? MS's buff id is 16.

Edit: would this work? I'm fairly sure it would activate it, but would it unlock it as soon as MS wears?

If MS ID is correct, it should work. Will do a check for MS each time you preform an action, and will lock/unlock the mantle appropriately. Unsure if you'd have to nest it somewhere or not.

Minnikin isn't the one you're thinking of I think. Atma of the Deep Devourer for brd? Subtle Blow+: Minor (+5) Store TP+: Minor (+5) Song Casting Time-: Major (-20%)

Minnikin is INT, major refresh and -ENM. Useful for anyone with MP of course.

Loki's or Juogi for body is about the only improvement I can think of. Ah, and Anguinus Belt, probly (unless you're capping attack). Oh, and you're using the wrong gorget. Should be Light or Fire.
