Speaking of SMN, what would be the appropriate sub-jobs for it 1-99? I'm assuming WHM, SCH, and RDM. Are there any situations where that would be different?

Is 2 WAR enough for fell cleave to kill a batch of mobs? Trying to farm up eve pop set konsch for atma, but I have little numbers in term of people to work with; some BLMs maybe and that's about it. Any non-ruby mob as well in konsch that isn't saplings? Since they don't link/aggro it'll be a pain rounding up a horde of them.

Pretty sure lsmates did this recently with Wivres since they agro.

Probably going to be similar to an astral flow burn, where you just get a pdt'd RDM rounding up hordes of mob and WAR going mighty strikes + buffs and cleaving down the masses. SMN for perfect defense as rog suggested so no chance of death due to slow cure. Maybe someone who did it before can answer better (never did cleave burn myself as well), but that's how I'm gonna go about doing it.

Chigoes and Murex only mobs that dont give ruby lights in that zone so Chigoes is your best bet.

Bring some LS mates/friends with you to do your initial light farming for the WAR, they can all change jobs to the appropriate support stuff or leech later. VNM for pearl, ephemerals for azure, amber on whatever you want (we usually do the Murex's right outside conflux 1, but VNM may be faster). After that, your best targets are either chigoes east of conflux 7, which are ridiculously weak and give no ruby, so best shot for AF farming, or Mandragoras right next to conflux 5, which do give ruby, so they're the best for exp/leeching.

Setup should be WAR + SMN + Puller + leeches. A lot of times we'll use a BLM with manawall for pulling, but a RDM with proper PDT/phalanx set, PLD/THF to sentinel flee, or hell, even a BLU with cocoon and phalanx can get the job done. Have the SMN use astral flow at the start of the pull and be ready to get Perfect Defense off as soon as the puller is in range, then just cleave away.

As many as you can. Mighty Strikes is optional when you have a SMN, you kill them plenty fast without it. It may be better to save MS for when you get screwed over and don't get a restore, it helps out if you have to use a fanatic powder or do a small pull.

My friend never bought Scars of Abyssea when it came out. He can't find where to purchase it at, he only has the option to buy Heroes. I'm not familiar enough with PoL to know where it's at. Someone halp!

Speaking of fell cleave, I already know about chigoes in attohwa, but what about in other zones? Specifically Konschtatt.
