Sedna, low-man strat? Any major concerns etc? With a solid MDT-% set can pretty much any job tank it? How about kiting in the tunnel? Possible? Spells might be an issue?
Everything I've read about him makes him sound like a wuss, but when we popped him, he was a complete rape machine. Constant spam of 6-800 damage aqua spout through shell V. Though we didn't have all our merit abyssites at the time, didn't have Minkin for our WHM, and we popped on watersday, so maybe it's not so bad now.
Also, he sucks because grellow is almost impossible to land, his normal attack is an aoe WS that blocks it, and there's not anywhere good to kite him. I think he has movement speed, or my memory might be playing tricks on me.
Im going to make the poor man's WoE Almace, and the Occ 2-3 times sword for my rdm. but which should i complete first.and is Chant du Cygne good? lol
Don't do 2-3 sword.
allllriiightt.. But Lord Ruthven doesnt seem to appealing to me![]()
You can do less plate turn ins once you past fame 3 and can do martello upgrades. There's a martello right next to the turn-in person, and you can do it once a day so basically just grab upgrade quest from the machine dude at 01 before you go to turn plates in, do both at once, run back to 01 to finish, zone back out. Saves a game day worth of trade for 2-3 more mins running.
Well if not 2-3 attack sword what do you recommend? i really just wanna Spam Zoro on the mob with a bit o dmg
Edit: figured it out
Thanks guys i guess ill go for the Poor mans Almace and the Dex sword cause thats CDC's mod.
Joyeuse
question about spellcast.
If I manually swap gear or do so via macro after spellcast has taken effect. (Let's say I have Bkote set to engage monster, but then I decide I want to use usu gloves). And I hit my acc macro. Will spellcast auto swap back to bkote since I'm engaged, or does my manual input override it?
afaik it won't change untill you do another action.
I want to say to just be patient and see what the update brings to magian paths. I have a hunch we'll be seeing 2-4x weapons coming this update, and while the 2-3x sword's base damage may be undesirable, if the 2-3x DRK scythe is any indication in its early phases (Seriously, mid-40s D without any multi-hitting), it may be the actual damage rating SE in had in mind for these later steps. Only thing that's left to decide is how the multi-hit spread is determined. For now, I don't think the 2-3x is useless, but that might just be me defending myself for making one back in the day with later multi-hitters in mind.
Ideally, you should be striving for CDC if you at all care for RDM melee. I'm not sold on off-handing a STR sword since RDM also has enspells to consider for making that up on normal swings while their base ATK isn't too hot and the ideal Haste builds aren't exactly ATK heavy either (Probably unlikely you'll break 400 ATK without food or buffs), of which swinging more often for enspells could do more for you. Can't really go wrong with Joyeuse for now, though.
