On Epmherals, do they also boost lights already on the character? And whats ideal order / number of emphs to do for it? Recently have been doing Azure first. Then whm / war would perle while Rdm Azure's we would only get 3 azure kills BUT in trying to perle probably kill 5-6 Emphs on the war/whm team trying for 3 perle. Is that capped lights? and assuming perle only comes from the last 3 emphs or if perle gets done on first kill how will the multiplicity of lights work out?

Pretty similar. Pummel gets a 5.75 ftp total vs smite's 5.4. 32% str/vit vs 50% str mod ends up about equal too.

It's variable. I'm of the opinion that it varies with either "glowy-ness" or level of the Ephemeral. You'll notice some Ephemerals have purple clouds around them or glow orange or whatever, while others are relatively colorless. I think that glowy-ness potentially correlates with how much extra light you get from the kill. The other night we were in Attohwa and I was running around getting Azure off random camps. Killed 3 or 4 Ephemerals and we were still getting 600 cruor chests. Went and killed a particularly glowy Ephemeral near black mandies and we were suddenly capped.

Also, easy way to get Pearl is to kill T1 VNMs, assuming you're anywhere but Attohwa (where I swear to god they always hide out in the antlion area). They give pearl with a 100% rate, and if you kill about 6 that way you'll have capped light strength.

Out of curiosity, would an optimally geared MNK (including Atma/Cruor) with Verethagna85 beat out an equally geared MNK with Spharai85, thanks to Victory Smite? What about Revenant Fists +1?

    Abyssea : Vereth85 > Revenant+1 > Spharai85
    Outside: Vereth85 > Spharai85 > Revenant+1

    Hello everyone.

Not a very active poster, but avid reader. SO, now to my question: I have been using Windower scripted macros until now for RDM, but kinda wanting to move to Spellcast. Does anyone have a complete/updated xml that they could post here / PM me ? Thanks in advance =)

PS: Sorry for any spelling mistakes/grammar errors, English is not my first language.

The glowing auras only seem to represent their current element.

Murex are always either wind or thunder, amoebans dark or earth, limule light or fire and clinoids ice or water.

What the ephems con seems to determine the light strength. In Vision zones it takes mutliple Ephem kills to cap because most of the ephems in those zones are DC-T whereas Scars areas have Murex dying constantly so they tend to con VT-IT.

I think the variation people tend to see depends on where the mob happens to pop. For instance, ephems that pop near fluxes or near popular camps tend to be always at capped strength whereas things like out of the way amoebans tend to be weak.

    Random Question:

Was it figured out if all voreagans take bonus damage while casting or is that purely a murex only thing? Amoebans seem to have some damage reistance going on or something.

Has it been shown that ephemeral mobs in the vision zones give enhanced lights, or at least azure light?

Out of RDM, BLM, WHM, SAM, and DNC, what's the best solo WoE job? All subjob combination are available, and I'm obviously speaking in terms of obtaining coins.

    Couple of other WoE questions...

Wiki said something about not needing to sac pull anymore after the Sept. Update... how true is this?

What is the drop rate on coins of advancement from regular? If I kill a mob in a small party, will it go to my party's loot pool, or to a public loot pool?

Is it "bad form" to jump on a mob being fought by another group already, or is it generally accepted as fair game?

Can like MNK and WHM duo much worthwhile in WoE? If not, what about adding a DNC and/or RDM?

Probably the lowest amount of people to clear a zone (mainly slimes) is dd/nin, dd/nin, rdm/whm, Sac puller. Should be able to win with 10+min left if you get good temp items. WoE is a open event so if you and your group are sharing a zone. Might as well team up since they will probably lot the coin that drops from your mob too. You can easily solo farm with just a dd and a mage. but that will take forever.

Edit:yes you still need a sac puller. And the loot goes to open pool just like dynamis

Pretty much impossible to win without sac puller. Unless you have 12+ people. even then shit can get crazy if multiple bosses come down.

I wanted to confirm the ftp/mods for stringing pummel since the wiki has them listed as needing confirmation. So I figured out what my damage should be and started killing level noob mobs outside bastok. Before I even got enough tp for a first WS I noticed my normal crit damage range is too big. 301 h2h skill and no weapon equipped should give me 36 damage + 8 from fstr. 44 * 3.0 to 44 * 3.15 gives me a range for crits of 132 to 138. My max crits lined up perfectly at 138, but I had crits as low as 121. What am I missing here?

2 Apradar questions using v3 "pro."

1.) Can you filter all mobs except for one you chose to show up on radar? If so how. Hell, or even NMs only?
2.) Is there any update I'm somehow missing that will let me set spawn alerts for new abyssea zones? Doesn't seem to have mob lists.

So sac puller aggros a cluster of mobs, party pulls the NM off... and down the stairs.... rinse, repeat? Ignore the lesser mobs, and kill the big blobs?

    Edit: Nevermind, I was mistaken.

Edit2: If the equation for pdif min is correct, then you have 1.2 x cRatio - 0.82 with cRatio being 2. So pdif min is 1.58 then +1 for crit is 2.58. So you could see criticals as low as 44 x 2.58 = 113 perhaps.
