After the updat notes, Im thinking of picking up SCH again...is there any consensus on what the T1 and T2 merits should be? I havent played in awhile, and I think its lvl 78 right now...any guidance would be helpful

Modus Veritas is such a joke right next to libra. iThe merit strategems are useless imo. Only useful during 2 hour and our 2 hour is kind of meh. Often times I am glad to have enlightenment up for a -na as /rdm under dark arts

For those arguing sublimation: Consider that you have Minkins + other refresh atmas (And possibly more Lunar Abyssites in the future). Plus, there is opportunity for more refresh in the future. MV might not work on all mobs, but it at least speeds up the fight in a manner unavailable through sublimation merits, merits that make you wait the duration of that extra 50MP. The earlier figure of 150MP is incorrect because the it assumes steady and immediate use of sublimation, which is decreasingly the case.

POLutils' Data Browser has the lists for all the other quests under:
String Tables -> English -> Quests -> [quest category]
...but the Abyssea category is missing.

Is there any place else where I could get the index order for those Abyssea quests?

This is the point where a person shows you a ws and/or tp build because once 8k damage is done you're capped so the simplest method is just to damage the mob.

150 is lowballing, assuming you only get 3 sublimations per 10 minutes. If you can't manage to spend your MP, you aren't trying. Arguing against sublimation merits is like arguing against convert merits, only the alternative merits for sch are even shittier than the alternatives for rdm.

No, it's overestimating because it assumes that you'll take full 10min use of them. How many fights last 10min? If you're in between fights (Moving around to different NMs for example), you're recovering MP via Atma/gear that makes you use Sublimation less. Furthermore, you still *charge* for that 50mp. It's not handed down as a bonus. So what are you really benefiting from when you use these merits? It means that 30sec recast appears less often than it normally would. If 1tick = 3sec (Not sure what it is, I'm just going off in game clock), you take 8s to charge that extra 50mp. In addition, it means you're waiting longer to use sublimation because most people don't use until it's full and if you don't merits won't benefit you at all. You're making too much out of a broadly dull ability.

Edit: Your comparison to RDM merits only hinders your argument. First, the way in which is not like convert is that convert is *instant*. You don't do additional "charging" like with sublimation merits. Second, the way in which it is like convert is that if you don't take advantage of the benefit (Sublimation: Charging to full; Convert: Using it within 48ish sec or w/e).

MV is a giant pile of LOL. It either doesn't work on NMs at all or they very heavily resist it. I can't remember the last time I had it not get resisted since they made the changes to it. I think even something as shitty yovras resist it. All that's left are mobs that are going to die before your helix finishes its duration.

Helix merits are the obvious choice. If you think the other 2 group 1s suck, you're free to stay at 5/10, but I finished my Sublimation merits today.

edit: Minikin is more than enough refresh. If I'm taking another atma, it's going to be one for damage (Beyond/Baying Moon) or something like Allure for -enmity.

Both are easily duo'd. Did a 7k vsmite on corse last night and that took off about 70%ish of his hp. Corse is probably a easier fight than manananggal

None. How many people stand around like retards for 10 minutes between fights? Putting aside the reality that sch is 100% completely useless in abyssea, what are you actually doing? Nuking shit. You can't manage to spend ~500 mp every 3 minutes because you have 10 mp/tick refresh? If you take longer to conflux to the next NM than it does to charge sublimation then you must be AFKing. If you get to the next NM and stand around not nuking stuff for boxes/pop items, then you must be AFKing. Suggesting merits based on the assumption that you will spend most of your time AFK isn't very helpful.

This is just like convert recast. You get more mp over time with the merits than without. The alternative merits are completely and entirely useless. Hmm, tough call.
