What's the buff ID for Monomi: Ichi so I can cancel it?
Thanks for proving my point. Not killing over 10min? That's less than 150mp advantage. Also, lets ignore the rest of the post that completely absolves many of the benefits of sublimation merits because the truth is too truthful right? If you're running around to fight NMs, chances are you're recovering most of your MP under Minkins. In short, you're really getting ~50MP (Assuming your shit finishes charging before you kill the NM and you use it during the NM) a majority of the time.
Convert merits only gives you more MP if you actually take advantage of the 48s window. MP over time is meaningless because real scenarios will triumph over hypothetical bullshit. That's why I acknowledge the claim that MV is limited in usage instead of strictly calculating its damage over time. Why can't you do the same for sublimation? It's because you're flaunting biased projections.
Monomi is sneak, so it's 71, if you're looking to put a "cancel" into spellcast.
You don't have to use it at all, or any other MP recovery abilities. But generally the idea is to kill stuff faster, which means spending more mp, which means recovering more mp.
You realize none of your merits are useful while afk right? Not just sublimation. Seriously, when are you running around for over 3 minutes, and then not managing to spend your mp when you arrive? Your mp can go right ahead and tick back to full while you are running, we're talking about sublimation not refresh. It works just fine with spam -> save style mp cycles. You just need to use your MP when you get there.
Even if you only gain 50 mp per 10 minutes, that still beats modus easily. Modus rarely lands on NMs, and normal mobs die in a single helix tick. What's your unresisted rate on modus on NMs, 25%? So you double the damage of one helix once every 40 mins? But wait, what if you are "running between NMs" while modus recast comes up, you aren't getting full benefit from it either.
While true, my argument is not dependent on being afk. Therefore, you're raising a moot point.
That's exactly the point though. If you cap MP to full, you don't need to use sublimation immediately, which means your overall utility from sublimation merits will decline drastically. This is central to my point, which is that 150MP/10min benefit is false.Seriously, when are you running around for over 3 minutes, and then not managing to spend your mp when you arrive? That's why my argument isn't that MV has a general benefit. It's a specific-case benefit. If we wanted to make general utility arguments, we would say that Grimoire merits are better than all other merits because you can use it for any art! My argument is that MV, when it can be used, will serve you much more than ~50MP and that the general benefits from max sublimation cannot compare. Furthermore, people overstate the utility they derive from sublimation merits.Even if you only gain 50 mp per 10 minutes, that still beats modus easily. I'm not making a general utility argument. I am saying sublimation merits are better at adding damage than modus merits are, and that is the only thing modus merits do. It is more than reasonable to easily use sublimation twice in 10 minutes. That is 100 mp. That would be nearly as good as modus merits if modus was still 100% land rate.
Can I make a Futsetto/+1 and get 20% dmg increase or do they not stack?
WS damage magians don't work off hand.
How do you tell if you have another tier of a trait?
Need to kill 250ish Sea Monk on water day/rain weather. Am I missing anything other than abyssea on water day, or SSG during the occasional rain weather?
Testing/eyeballing. Some things like attack bonus or auto-regen/refresh are easy to see. Some stuff with stats you can't see you have to test. Unless it's TH then you open the JT menu. Also assumptions based on levels jobs got prior traits. iirc it used to show each tier, no?
LoO works well if you can find someone ~75 to sync to, the only downside is dungeon repops, so you'll get like 15-20 at most per weather.
Why would you need a 75 sync?
