Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll(PS3 Action RPG)

Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll sees the three adventurers – Aleus, Daguza
and Zelena - brought together by fate. Each must work together to
explore Biascion ’s fields, dungeons and towns, survive encounters
with mythological beasts, as they venture to destroy the evil King
Balor. The combat system is real-time, and allows the player to
switch between each of the three characters at will. The
environment is suggested to be completely interactive throughout,
with new paths discovered by destroying objects and freezing
water, or even used to defeat enemies.

Developer by Omega Force, from that which we’ve easy it’s easy
to believe that the combat system’s roots lie within their own
Dynasty Warriors franchise – though, seemingly providing yet more
depth – but the publisher has insured Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll is a
    Role-Playing Game (RPG) at heart.
The game revolves around three central characters that fight
through levels as a team. The player can change between each of
the three and may need to do so to overcome certain obstacles
(like setting stuff on fire or knocking down walls). The trio include a
midrange dude with a sword who can perform both fire and ice
attacks, a sexy female ninja with ice and airborne attacks, and a
burly guy with no magic whatsoever -- but he can pick up things and
throw them, so it evens out.

Souls of Zill O'll lacks co-op play, but the A.I. that controls the two
inactive characters is fairly competent, so you don't have to
babysit them. The A.I. doesn't solve puzzles for you, however, so if
the two characters are hanging out by a log, doing nothing, you
should probably try to set the log on fire with the appropriate
    character.

You can change characters whenever you feel like it, which comes
in handy when your active character gets stunned or turned to
stone. If your character is knocked out completely, the game
automatically switches you to another character, and you cannot
go back to the first one until their knockout gauge runs down.

The main emphasis of the game is the story. The developer made
sure that it'd be self-explanatory enough so that the U.S. audience
isn ’t missing out because they couldn't play the original game.

During combat, a circle reticule appears and zeroes in on certain
enemies before disappearing altogether. Attacking the enemies while
the circle is on them increases the amount of damage you inflict.
Triangles also appear on enemies, prompting you to perform a
trinity attack with a single button press.

The visuals are very pretty -- like an oil painting with a bit of
sketch work underneath. Unfortunately, it looks like this might cost
the game in terms of frame rate, but the developer said the team
keeps it consistent at 30 frames per second.
The 2nd demo just hit JP PSN store today I believe.

Played the E3 demo from the JP store a few weeks back and it's really good. Switching between the characters at the right time to pull off combos is great.

If you have a JP account go download it.

The 2nd new demo that just released seems to be a lot better than the first one. I don't think the first one is on JP store anymore, but gonna go download the new one.

The first Trinity Zill O'll Zero demo arrived on October 14 and was
basically the same build that Tokyo Game Show attendees played.
Demo two, set for release on the 11th, will offer a more
    substantial experience, it seems.

The second demo was detailed today at the Trinity development
blog. Downloaders will be able to sample the the basic gameplay
flow, from making purchases in town to taking up quests at an
adventurer's guild. While you won't be able to experience the depth
of the main story, there will be a short story created exclusively
    for the demo.

You'll also find a couple of demo exclusive quests. One of these is
set in the "Cave of the White Sands" dungeon that was shown in the
game's E3 build. The other is set in Zeguna Mines.

I downloaded the jp demo for this, but I can't really seem to figure out what to do lol. All I see on the map is one town with a bunch of shops/bar, but no idea what I'm supposed to be doing to be able to go to a dungeon or something xD Anyone know??

34/40 from Famitsu. Quoting anoop post:

There was praise for the game having a lengthy play time with lots
of sub quests. The battles have a lot of strategy. Someone said the
    background music is extremely good.

Bad points include the game requiring that you go to the same
locations repeatedly, the attack patterns being limited in quantity.

This is based off the bullet points at a Japanese blog, so something
might have been lost in translation.
I'm still gonna buy it either way.

I really wanna play this so bad, but gonna have to wait a bit... unless I buy it instead of renting it. Depending on how long it is, I might just buy it instead. For some reason I thought this released on 15th
