Wait you wiped to Bennu?
Wait you wiped to Bennu?
Well if they were using a SMN on it...
TP moves shouldn't be an issue with this method, as Avatar BPs give 0 TP, monsters hitting for 0 gives them 0 TP, and there's no reason to let the avatars melee. Something like Fistule would just be a matter of time, and probably wouldn't involve any clones unless he has regain.
I'd GM someone if they were killing something solely based on this method...would take an hour to kill Bennu, and thats WITH the piercing bonus Garuda would get on predclaw
Except Predator Claws is slashing.
Ultimate/beyond/minkin shiva, heavenly strike, and never look back
did not see that good call. i was still dazed after seeing someone wiped to bennu. carry on nothing to see here
Back to tunga, why is Smn being able to kill it a problem? I solo Tunga / Eruca / Borer / Izazt or however its spelled on Rdm/Nin for jewels and I think tunga is the easiest part. Chainspell vs. Chainspell with Fools drink? Rdm wins.
You got it right. Add a pickup group, greed from people wanting all 3 triggers, and idiots arming themselves to kill while triggering, and you find your alliance trying to hold the nm under 10% waiting for a club WS from the only WHM.
The SMN tanked impressively for 5 minutes while people learned their lesson.
If it's so easy, why did the PLD fail?
Yinnyth was testing Atma of the Burning Effigy for Wildfire and came to the conclusion the "Fire-based weapon skill damage+: Major" works in the same way as gorget, not an extra multiplier for elemental WS. I went out to Abyssea and ran a quick test myself in capped conditions. Arching Arrow recieved ~ +.2 ftp boost. (Twice that of a gorget.) Interesting Atma for sure, not sure how much use it'll be considering other Atma have better damage potential. (For those math inclined, the actual bonus is 50/256 which is equivalent to using elemental Gorget + Belt.)
First, before I answer this question:
Because theyre using both PLD and SMN...
Now, to answer Purrloin's question:
Because SMN avatars can attain -100% PDT whereas PLD cant. Its kinda hard to die when you're getting hit for 0 on every physical attack.
If you insist, perhaps if the PLD were on a useful job and the SMN were on a useful job, then there would have been no need to resort to defensive holding measures.
