It still beats HQ staves , so ?
That doesn't justify gimping yourself because it's "calculated differently" , either way it still beats HQ with or without atmas .

I'm not sure if this is known or not (Wiki seems to have removed some of them), but the all the synthetic quest Atmas from new areas do require some Dominion Ops. I'm done all the quests in Ule (all the repeatable ones done multiple times) and have 0 of the synthetic Atmas from that zone.
I've done Spectators, Gears, Mechanical Menaces, and Buffalo Ops for sure. I may also have done a Marid Op, though I can't remember.
In Altepa I did all the Ops at least once (repeated Fear Deargs and Manigordos) and got all four Atma by the time I finished questing in the zone.
Yea, almost all of them require that you do any quest around the dominion tactician (kill the puk in altepa, kill the pot in grauberg, etc). I've been updating otherwiki as I do them myself, while others just say "all quests and ops at camp xxx". I dont check bgwiki since its usually a bunch of red links when I do.
For those wishing to do fame in Grau the easy way, take a stack or two of sickles, put on atma of the Apoc, run around in the pugils and gobs and harvest Grauberg greens for 1-2 hrs. Spam Chocobo quest. For mimimum Aby time loss, go thf/blm, zone in, get visitant status, conflux to 5, flee to quest NPC, warp, repeat. Also, I got a lot of THF seals from this. Boring, yet less time than that stupid goblin treat quest.
nevermind
I must've missed it, how are magian ele staves calculated differently in abyssea vs outside?
Magian staves are part of the same term as elemental damage atmas, which is a different term than elemental staves. So it's not so much that they're calculated differently outside as it is they may have less impact inside.
Isn't that reduction in benefit only application to cases in which you're using affinity bonus atmas? I would imagine that ultimately means ice for most instances. That leaves the rest of the series to kick ass.
If you are going to be using a non ice element exclusively, you're better off dropping beyond for whatever element you're going to use.
Seems I'm more confused about this quest then what I had originally thought. I had figured I was looking for it on ones that were blocking your path. Yet the only one I found and attempted to trade the counteragent to was near the top of the mountain, I tried to trade 3-4 times, the counteragent never left my inventory (according to wiki it says it only works if the item is no longer in inventory). After reading this, it seems I should be looking for ones on the ground that are not blocking paths. I r teh confused.
Did you start the quest first? If you bought your counteragent off AH, you didn't necessarily start the quest yet.
Finally got Savior of Abyssea! Fairly underwhelmed by the atma... Apparently, "Enhances all status effects" really does only mean +30 to all attributes. I was hoping that abilities like Berserk/Aggressor (since they are status effects) would be enhanced.
On the bright side, I absorbed 2 homing missile while fighting Long-Barreled Chariot, one of which cured me for 1600+.
So does Savior provide any hp/mp boost in addition to the +30 to stats?
Yeah more information on Savior please.
Info was already given pages back. We never got an accurate resist test though.
wrong thread
Has anyone personally tested the cure potency+ on rescuer and harmony? Wiki previously said 4-5% but now says 10%.
Rescuer is 10% I know for certain, someone changed it to 4-5% for who knows what reason (had people troll Voracious Violet's DA rate as well), I don't have Harmony to test it.
