Switching classes for Guild Mark battle leves?

So when I have a leve that gives Lancer's Guild Marks as a reward, I have to switch to LNC to get the reward. But do I have to switch to LNC before I initiate the leve, before I interact with the aetherial gate to confirm completion, while I kill the targets, or all of the above?

You have to fulfill the objectives while on the designated class to receive the marks.

So that means you can accept it as anything, as long as you get all of the kills on the specified class? Or is it just the final kill?

All of the kills. You get a proportionate amount of the marks reward based upon the percentage of objectives fulfilled while on that class. If you want all of them, it has to be all of the kills.
