trolls gonna troll
trolls gonna troll
So are you guys just gonna circlejerk about how wrong I am, using your tears for lubrication, or could one of you point out the incredible game-saving adjustment I'm missing?
I can only repeat the point that was made earlier in that if you get excited over such basic things which the majority of games have at launch, and as such can be expected, then your expectations are far, far lower than Priran's and, to a lesser extent, mine.
In one hand, you have the people that are happy that things are getting fixed.
In the other hand, you have a bunch of trolls beating a dead horse into the ground.
This has nothing to do with expectations.
You troll just as much as others, you just take a different angle towards it. You seek out pol who complain about the game to post something about what they say. Just saying, don't call the kettle black just because you don't see yourself or Hyan as trollin. And talking about beating a dead horse into ground, you ate just as bad... I don't get how you don't see this. Just because your on the other side of the spectrum does not make you just as guilty
On topic: yes, plenty of people are happy basic mmo necessities are finally being added to the game. And plenty of others don't think it's yet enough. Both are very valid points and it has everything to do w/expectations. I don't even understand how you can say it has nothing to do w/expectations, that comment blows my mind. If ppls expectationswerent let down then SE would not be still giving free months of play. Ppl have stopped playing because their expectations were let down. Ppl were excited for the game because they had such high expectations for the game. Wtf are you saying this has nothing to do w/expectations... Stop trying to spew bs just to make a post
Wait... So, hovering around topics on updates and information about a game and saying nothing more than "I still don't care about this" in so many words is no worse than disagreeing with them?
If this was the flame-wars thread, you'd at least have an argument, but this is the wrong thread and you are retarded. Take the QQs back to the QQ thread.
I'm excited that the game will get fixed. That wasn't set in stone.
But really, it's simply a case of being realists. Where in heavens are your expectations? It does not take a rocket science to figure out that they won't get past basic things for some time no matter what happens. This is the best thing the game can get right now, and it baffles me why people still come here expecting something else when the facts have been in your face since September. If you can't get over it, there will be nothing to see here for a long time.
What the hell did Priran think we were going to get in the best case? A blowjob?
All I was trying to say it seemed that Priran already decided what he thinks about the patch as if he seen the whole of it. And we didn't yet. More stuff is still coming. Whether there will be anything that will make him deem the patch more worthwhile is another story. Myself I'm also not too excited about it and just planning to wait for the PS3 release to give the game another chance.
Probably expected a fix of this magnitude and them to be trying to catching up on the content they'd be adding right about now if the launch wasn't so fucked up.
I can't say for sure though, I am not him.
Ah, instead they will add said content less than a month later.. and that is unacceptable.
We have known that this is the "adjusting existing shit" update for a month. But of course even knowing this content should be expected.
Are you sure FFXI had these entire thing at the start? Don’t forget that Japanese played for a full year before we did, so we had a full year of update when we start...
~~~~~~~
I probably don’t had a Big expectation like most of the ppl, because I'm really happy about this update, and its nice of them to give us an other month free for fully test the update ^^.
Still make me laugh when ppl have a month free but are stubborn to not try it because they didn’t like the start... If you don’t want to give an others chance (who will be Free) of the game, I don’t know what you’re still doing in a Forum for FFXIV, except for crying...
Sorry, but no. It's not black and white. It's perfectly possible for people to be happy that things are being fixed (like most of us, myself included) but also disappointed that the game still falls behind what we expected it to be by this stage. To imply that people who are unhappy are simply trolls is utterly, utterly wrong.
That, quite simply, this shit would have been sorted well before now. But whatever, we're all just chasing our tails at this point. I just think it's sad that people are so quick to equate an opinion they don't agree with as trolling :/Where in heavens are your expectations?
If you played the beta, you would know the game was unfinished but still being released in such a state. Given that, my expectations for the game come into play in March, when the "real" release of XIV happens. If the game is still behind at that point, then there's cause to be worried. Currently it is still premature, yet we're playing (some at least) despite that.
And some understand and accept that better than others, which is why updates of this nature can make us smile, because the game is moving along to becoming what it should have been (or will be) at the PS3 launch. I think more than that people are shocked and maybe happy that SE has it's ear to the ground and is listening to what the players are saying, rather than doing whatever the hell they wanted like the early/middle years of XI.
That's complete bullshit. At the time, we knew the beta build that we were playing was a beta build. We had a small army of posters here saying that "LOL, spoiled kids these days think betas are just demos by a different name!" and "This is just the beta build, SE has the retail build they're holding back for release" and "It's going to have so much more content at release, we don't need to test all of the quests just the framework of the questing system!". And then, only after the game was released, we learned that the beta was a demo, that the beta build was the retail build and that there wasn't any additional content.
