I thought over 40% for Bags on his first ballot was pretty good. He should get there someday. Kind of disappointed Barry Larkin didn't make it but he should within the next couple years.

Larkin is almost a lock, over 60% in his 2nd year of eligibility. Bags has a good chance as well, over 40% in his 1st. Some writers just don't vote for anyone on their first try, Robby Alomar jumped from just under 75% to 90% in one year. Larry Walker, well he has some work to do.

I want to find the two guys that voted for B.J. Surhoff and murderdeathkill them.

I also noticed that Kevin Brown only got 12 votes, holy hell. Unfortunately for Larry Walker he will probably be seen as a product of Coors Field, which will likely keep him out despite his fantastic numbers even away from there.

Larkin will get in. Bagwell better get in or they need to re-evaluate the voting process. The steroids era was and is such bullshit. Every era had it's controversy. The hall of fame was always supposed to be about the best players in every era. McGwire may have been one dimensional, but he was one of the best home run hitters of his era. Bonds was one of the most complete players of his time. Palmerio was a damn good player and all of them are going to get fucked. Yet people like Alcohol and wife abusing Ty Cobb get a free pass cause they were not on the clear. Even though they probably were injecting other shit that science just couldn't catch at the time.

Remember when that blogger suggested that Ibanez's numbers were suspicious when he was tearing it up in Philly, and all those baseball writers attacked him for accusing without proof? A lot of those same guys seem to have no problem marking Bagwell down as a roid user despite the fact he hasn't been linked in the Mitchell Report or any other steroid investigation. I find that hilarious.

Read Jeff Pearlman's HoF tripe from today, wherein he actually defends the assumption of guilt in the context of the legal system. Apparently if it's not possible to prove anyone guilty (Speaking of that, then why have so many people been proven guilty?) it's fine to persecute on a gut feeling.

On that note, I have a hunch that Jeff Pearlman is a child rapist.

So I havent exactly been following the Bagwell story but I've heard of it. If he's never been formally linked to anything then what exactly is the suspicious everyone keeps talking about actually based on if anything?

He played in the 90's, is well built, and hit a ton of homeruns. That = steroids it seems.

I always assumed Bagwell was juicing, even before all the major shit came to light. I hope i'm wrong because i've always liked Bags and he seemed like a nice guy.

Big Mac i could never vote for simply because it's obvious he owes his entire career to steroids.

Bonds, as much of an asshole as he is and i have no doubts he juiced at the start of this past decade, he was a HOF'er before that started in my opinion.
