Is buying a PC actually worth it on black friday? I don't want anything special, just a tower that can play WoW at decent settings
I would think individual parts is where the real savings would be, since pre-builts are probably like TVs where you can get great deals on bottom-of-the-line stuff, idk though it's been a long time since I was shopping for one.
With rare exceptions electronics are usually what's slashed down least on black friday (from what I've seen it's only max 10% except on big ticket items like TVs and consoles). So you'll see the least amount of increased savings on computer parts when compared to other products. The important thing about buying computer hardware is to get any sort of deal at all and it'll usually be the best deal for your time spent.
Though prebuilt computers and laptops have been increasingly better priced on black Friday. Last year laptops were dirt fucking cheap.
Can the old X360 HDDs work on the X360 Slims?
The enclosure won't be compatible, but the drive can still be connected
You can buy cheap enclosures for the Slim or regular 360 too and just put whatever compatible WD hard drive you want in it. I think the 360 uses 5400 rpm, but you can get a 7200 one and have it work.

I thought there was sort of firmware on 360s that kept you from just plopping any HDD on them like you can on the PS3s?
i went with the launch model because it reflects me. fat, white, obnoxiously noisy, and prone to failure
Well shit, fuck a slim, the only reason I even want one was I want a 250GB without dropping $150 on the xbax one
constantly
Can't decide whether to get a 32" 1080p Samsung or an LG. THEY BOTH LOOK SO PRETTY.
Any of you guys actually bought some of the stuff from that site Cheerios posted? They got a 250 for older model xboxes for $62, anyone know if these are legit/work well?
